when you leave

4 1 1

I have a solemn plea,
A somber request,
And a broken heart

When you finaly leave
Which I know you will
When the right time comes
If its even right to begin with
Please let me know
That its time for the final blow
Give me time to drown in my sorrow
It will be best before tomorrow

I will grieve at your loss
Bring out all our photos
Stare at them blankly one by one
As I recall all the memories
Attached to each of them
As I bid them goodbye
For it was good while it lasted

I will write down our names
Alongside all the things we wished
To become and achieve together
On the sand that we used to lie down on
Every weekend as we watch the day end
Then I watch as the water washes
Your name away with all those things

Finaly, I will re-read our endless conversations
Of nothing and everything
As tears stroll down my cheecks
Drowning my swollen eyes.
I will laugh at the silly jokes that I told you
As a proof of how foolish I was indeed
I will not skip the voice notes, not even one
That you seldom used to send me
I will fall in love with your lies
One last time
And admire the way you used to say it
I will hold them soo dear
And even listen to them on repeate
Before tossing them away

I will let you leave
Without any more fighting
For I have always been fighting for you
And your undying love which I never had
I will allow you to walk away in peace
While I will be left alone in pieces

I will not even be sure
To be happy because it happened
Or sad because its over
