Sons on ice

You loved your Christmas' in California, there was a comforting feeling knowing you could wear a festive dress without freezing. But you yearned for a white Christmas. There was something magical about the thought of waking up on Christmas morning to see a fresh blanket of snow laying upon the ground. Watching it glisten as the sun rose.

This year wasn't the same as holidays before. You'd been with Jax for two years now. Gemma had finally warmed up to you, with a little help from Jax of course! Things had been a little patchy with the club, and some family time was needed, so Gemma decided it was time for a change in holiday plans.

"We're going away this year!" She's told everyone. "To a family friends cabin in Colorado!"

Everyone was excited to leave Charming for a few days to spend some good quality time with their family and biker family. Excitement filled the room! Everyone boarded the earliest plane to Colorado on December twenty-second, from there you'd drive into the country where the cabin was located.

Jax had been driving the suv you both rented for a while now, while baby Abel slept silently in the backseat. You watched the snow covered pine trees as you traveled down the road.

"This is definitely not Charming," Jax chuckled. "There's no way I'd be driving a bike through this!"

You giggled, adjusting your vision to the front of the vehicle . You watched as an identical black suv turned off the road and began down a small driveway.

"There it is!! Turn right Jax!" You called excitedly. Jax chuckled again, following your orders, as Gemma's car turns ahead.

A convoy of black suvs pulled into the driveway behind you and up to the house. The house was beautiful. A grey and black stone pad laid at the foot of the house, while some of the stone ran up along the corners and doorway of the house. A hazelnut brown oak hugged the walls of the house that was not occupied by stone. The house could easily hold the club, and extras! Jax parked the suv behind Gemma, forming everyone into a neat line. Both you and Jax stood beside the suv, doors ajar.

"This is beautiful," you say. "I can't wait to settle in!"

"You take Abel in, I'll grab our bags." He replies with a smile.

You close your door, and reach into the backseat to unbuckle a now alert newborn. You smile cradling him in your arms as you walk up to the house.

"Are you ready for your first Christmas buddy?"

You open the dark oak door and step in, a warm breeze of air meets you and you sigh. The floors were lined with the same kind of wood that was on the exterior. Christmas decorations hung on the grey walls. You stroll over the living room after taking off your shoes. Soft carpet greets you in the doorway. Your eyes catch the sunlight coming through the beautiful ceiling to floor windows, black leather sofas resting in front of a few windows. A fireplace sits to the right and a large Christmas tree to the left. You sit on the couch with Abel, taking in the view. You notice a railing running across the top of the wall, with a few doors on the back wall. There's stairs somewhere.

"What do you think Darling?" Jax asks pushing through the doorway, arms full of bags.

"It's absolutely beautiful!"

"Ok everyone, go unpack, get comfortable, dinner is at 6! Don't be late!" Gemma says walking into the living room before removing her glasses and placing them in her purse.

"I'll come help!" Donna offers.

"That'd be great dear!" Gemma replies as they both walk into the kitchen.

Jax turns to you, smirking bigger than ever, "First one upstairs gets to throw the loser in the snow."

"Deal!" I beam, before clucking Abel close, before turning and bolting towards the stairs.

"Cheater!!" Jax hollers chasing after you, dropping the bags as he goes.
