I met my second boyfriend in my first year of college due to a mutual friend. I didn't see much of him after that until my closest friend's birthday two years later, the day after which, we got together.
Looking back now, it's hard to see what I saw in him (and even harder not to vomit at how soppy the first few poems are). However, I'll always believe that he was exactly what I needed following on from my first relationship.
After our break up (the reasons for why are explained in the poems), I'm very pleased that we managed to go back to our friendship, something which - in spite of what some of the poem's will mistakenly say - tells me that I never loved him.
