Ail's POV
I climb the fence into the stallions round yard, he looks at me with bright eyes and trots over to me. I hold the apple in the palm of my hand and the stallion takes it in his mouth, biting it into peace. While he is busy munching on the apple I slip the white mule rope halter over his nose and tie it behind his ears. He doesn't flinch only stands once he has finished the apple. I walk towards the fence and he follows behind like a lost puppy. I tie him to the rail and take a brush, his coat shines as I run the brush over his coat. He munches on the hay net tied to the rail.
I take the old aqua saddle pad sitting on the rail and place it on his back, he lifts his head a little to look at me and goes back to eating. Then I take the old ranch saddle and place it on his back, the stallion puts his ears back slightly but it doesn't worry him too much. Once I've done the cinch up I lead him away from the fence, he turns his head to check out what is on his back but he doesn't jump or kick or try to run away.
The stallion follows me around the yard, the lead dragging on the ground. He holds his head high and ears are alert. This horse is thankful, you can see it in his eyes, he is happy to be here with me and he wants to learn.
