Ryder's POV
The entire world is made up of people and somehow amounts all of the madness I found Ail. I found someone who changed everything about me and made me a better person. She took my hand and showed me that I could be the person she wanted me to be.
Ail sits on the porch swing with Colt sitting on her lap. His eyes light up as she talks softly to him. I kiss her on the head before I walk off to the stables where I find Sam saddling up one of the young mares.
''Going for a ride?'' I say to him as I light the cigarette between my lips.
''Yeah, just out in the arena. When are you taking your horses to Ail's?'' It had been the plan in the past few weeks that I move out to live with Ail on her ranch. We can raise Colt there and he wont be in and out of houses. Ail and I can be together all the time and then go on the road together. The whole idea seems perfect to her and I guess I thought so to. But a part of me fears that things might get alot to handle with all of the horses, colt and the few head of cattle that Ail has. Then throw all of that ontop of rodeoing and traving around the counrty. But I want this life with her no matter how hard it is going to be.
''Think I'll take them over next weekend.'' I take a draw on the cigarette and breath the smoke out of my lungs. Sam nods and leads the mare out towards the arena.
''Daddy!'' Colt runs throuhg the yard over to the stables, I pick him up and spin him around in my arms. The small boy laughs as he holds on tightly. Ail walks over and wraps her arms around my waist.
''I need to talk to you.'' Her voice is soft, kind. My heart speeds up because I know that it isn't something bad. Her voice says it all.
''Mmmm, what is it?'' I kiss her gently, the taste of her lingers on my lips. I put Colt down and he latches onto my leg straight away.
''Ryder I'm pregnant.'' Ail's voice is full of excitement, I put my cigarette out and pick her up. Colt jumps around while I hold Ail close to me. Her smile lights up the entire room. Leaving me breathless.
''Are you being serious? Your not pulling my leg?''
''I'm serious Ryder.''
''Shit Ail, that's great.'' I kiss her again. ''Colt go out and watch Uncle Sam ride that horse, okay?''
''Okay.'' Colt smiles and bounces away towards the arena. I pull Ail close to me and kiss her with such passion and urgency that we just melt into one.
