•She is a strange one•

Whispers filled the streets as she passed. It has always been like that. Of all the three years in her life she has been out only twice. People were surprised by her appearance, thus resulting in her being the center of attention. She paid no mind to them. After all they weren't really saying anything bad about her. Mostly meaningless comments.

She was making her way to the park. She was finally allowed to go outside. It took her so long to convince them to let her go. What she wasn't expecting though, was for them to let her go alone. She thought she would at least be escorted there by someone. So, here she was outside of the parks gates.. alone.

After taking a small breath, she went inside.
She had to admit that she was a little nervous and scared.

As she continued to make her way.. well she didn't really care or to be honest know,she saw many children playing happily with their parents. It didn't bother her that much. She was used to it.
The jealousy. The sadness.
All though there where times were she just wanted to be with them.
Her parents.

They were what she heard them say.
According to her understanding they were
Sinobai or something like that. Their job was not only dangerous but time-consuming. Meaning she never got to spend time with them. Ever.
From the moment she was born to this day she barely knew what they looked like. Hell, she didn't even know their names. As in, she didn't know which was mom and which was dad.
She also never celebrated her birthday.. or even heard a happy birthday.
She knew when it was but she didn't know people celebrate it.

After spending 10 minutes looking around she decided to sit down and watch the other kids since she didn't know what to do or how to interact with others.

She watched as the kids played and laughed together. She couldn't understand how they were doing it.

After some time she decided it would best to leave and go home.

She got up from the tree she was seating under a d begun walking.

She was looking at everyone around her. Observing her surroundings.
She was so engulfed in everything that she didn't realize she was lost.

It took her only a minute to realize after looking around her that she didn't know where she was..

But she wasn't scared or anything like that. She just kept walking and walking. She thought that this would be a great opportunity to explore.
Her parents would be home next month or so they said before giving her permission to go outside.
So, she just continued walking and walking.

Somehow she managed to reach a strange place with a strange stone.
The stone was big and had writing on it or that's what she assumed it was.

She was looking at the stone for 5 minutes before feeling a strange aura behind her.
For a split second she wish want to turn around because of fear..
But that went away as soon as it came and so she.. turned around.
....................

He had just come back from his mission and was on his way to report to the hokage.

Of course the first thing he was met with was the lovely people of konoha
spreading their rumors about him because there was nothing else to do..

Kakashi hated them. The people of the village. Always butting in his business like it's a cure for some plague..

He decided to visit the memorial stone a bit earlier that normal, since he didn't have anything else to do.

When he got there he saw someone standing in front of the stone.
Their height indicated that it was a child.
He didn't expect to see a child at the memorial stone. Especially at such a young Age. The child was wearing something pink. It was the only thing visible from where he was standing.

As he walked closer he realized that the pink wasn't what she was wearing but her hair and also that she was a girl.

He stood right behind her and to his surprise she turned and faced him.
'She didn't sense me, right? There's no way..' he thought. He stared at the child in front of him..

When she turned around she saw a boy or young man looking at her. He seemed to be analyzing her or that's what she thought.
From his headband she knew he was a sinobai like her parents.
Sakura thought of introducing herself,knowing perfectly well that he would forget her. But she did it anyway.

"Hello.. My name is Sakura" she introduced herself. She read once in a book that this is how people introduce themselves.

The young man looked at her for a minute before introducing himself too
"My name is Kakashi"
"pleasure to meet you" said Sakura.

"Are you by any chance a sinobai?" she asked.

The man looked at her dumbfounded.
He then started laughing.
Sakura just looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"Do you mean Shinobi?" he asked.
"Oh.. that's how it's pronounced."said Sakura.
"Shinobi" she repeated making sure to write it down in her memory.
"Yes, i am a Shinobi."
Sakura just stared at him.
"Aren't you a little young though? " she asked.

Kakashi was surprised. He didn't expect that kind of answer from the girl.
He didn't answer her and just patted her head.

"what are you doing here Sakura?" he asked.

"I got lost Kakashi-san. I was too distracted and got lost" she said and looked at the ground.

Kakashi didn't say anything.
After a moment of silence he said
"Are you perhaps the child of Mebuki and Kizashi Haruno?"

Sakura just looked at him.
Were those the real names of her parents? She didn't know. What she did know was that she was a haruno.

"probably.." she said.

Kakashi cursed himself for asking such a question to a five year old.

"I'll take you home" he said and picked her up.

After 10 minutes they arrived at her house.
Kakashi put her down.

"Thank you kakashi-san" she said and proceeded to enter her house.
"Have a good night" she said.

Kakashi was confused.
It was 10:00 in the morning.
'what a weird girl' he thought.

"She is a strange one" a voice belonging to an old woman said.

Kakashi then left.
