His words came out as more of a statement than a question, but regardless they made my heart stop. I didn't know it before this moment, but I have wanted to hear those words come from him..but how can I be so selfish to pretty much have him give up the opportunity to be a dad 

"Damon.."my heart broke with each word "I can't let you give up your chance to be a father" this probably wasn't the best time to have this conversation 

"I promise this is what I want" he cupped my face with his hand, I propped myself up on my elbow to look at him better 

"I just want to avoid worse heartbreak for both of us Dame" I can't take this from him, I can barely handle not having it for myself. 

Being a mother has always been a goal for me but I can't, and who am I to be the one to hold him back 

"What do I need to do to prove to you that I just want you" he propped himself up on his elbow and faced me

"Dame.." 

"I will spend my whole life proving it to you if I have to princess" he pushed his lips into mine, maybe as a way to show me that he means what he is saying 

I couldn't help but smile, I could tell that in this moment he means each word he is telling me. What worries me is that it'll change later on

"Be my girlfriend Rachel" he asked again

"Is that a question or a statement?" I spoke my thoughts, as much as I want to walk away from this to avoid hurting him or myself..I want to stay, I haven't felt this amount of happiness in a long time 

"a question" he smiled 

How did I end up falling for my ex-husbands best friend?

"yes" I returned the smile, for the first time in a while the smile on my face has been genuine..and as selfish as it may be, I don't want to lose that 

"yes?" he loved hearing me say what he wanted to hear 

"yes, Ill be your girlfriend" it feels weird to say girlfriend again, I haven't said that or been called that in so long that the word sounded foreign 

I'm his girlfriend 

"So I was thinking we can call and cancel your lease" he spoke as he stood in front of the mirror watching me as I looked for a new set of pajamas to wear

The towel wrapped around his waist taunted me, it hugged his beautifully sculpted body almost perfectly 

"Dame, we just became a couple a few minutes ago" I laughed, honestly its kind of cute how he seems excited 

"I know, but you won't need the apartment anymore" he turned to face me, the towel had made its way lower down his abdomen "you like what you see baby?" he smirked, catching me as I gazed at him 

I could feel myself blushing, I turned away from him to turn on the water in the shower ignoring his remark

"I guess its a good thing we're about to take our clothes off huh" his body brushed up against my back, I could hear his towel drop to the ground beside me. The goosebumps once again covered my body as his hands reached under my towel to caress my upper thigh and hip 

"you won't be needing this" he pulled the towel off my body, the breeze from the towel being suddenly pulled off made the goosebumps increase 

He slowly guided me into the shower, the warmth of the water calmed the goosebumps that once overpowered me. I started applying shampoo into my hair, slightly ignoring his stares. Ive never been good at making the first move, or flirting..but maybe this is the time to try?

I washed the shampoo out of my hair and turned to see Damon still staring at me with his lip between his teeth. The way he looked at me gave me butterflies, but then again nearly everything he did gave me butterflies.

I slowly walked over to him, placing my hands on his stomach. I got up on my tippy toes and started kissing his neck, sucking slightly on his skin every once in a while. He put his arms around me, pulling my body closer to him. He slid his hands down to my thighs and lifted me up, wrapping my legs around his torso. He turned around, pushing my back against the wall. 

His lips met mine again and I hadn't realized how much I missed them. As his tongue entered my mouth I could feel the pressure build up in my lower region. The more he touched me the more I wanted to feel more of him. Something about him is so hypnotizing, and no matter how much I had of him I wanted more. 

As he held me against the wall he slid himself in me, once again sending a sensational pressure throughout my body. He continued to thrust in me, I threw my head back against the wall behind me as the sensation continued to take over my body. Just when I thought I couldn't possibly feel more heat in my body he began to kiss my neck, sending strong heat waves up and down my body. 

"Baby I'm gonna cum" he whispered in my ear, just as he began to thrust into my sweet spot 

"me too" I spoke between my panting, not wanting it to end. I arched my back as the sweet climax spread throughout my body, letting out a moan as I came undone on top of him. He rested his forehead on my chest as he tried to control his breathing

"I can do this all day long" he whispered seductively in my ear, before kissing me on my neck under my jawline 

He slowly let go of my legs, setting me down in front of him without taking his eyes off of mine. I leaned up and kissed him once more before continuing to wash my body.

'I can do this all day long'  his words made the butterflies in my stomach flutter faster than they were earlier
