Today Bright, Ruby and I are going to a friend's birthday party

We are on our way to the house
"Rosé, put on the seat belt", Bright said obviously nagging at me
"I would but it's uncomfortable", I look at him whining
Ruby was laughing
"Are you serious ? It's for your safety", he said
I ignore him
When we were approaching the traffic light it turns red which means we are stopping
Bright take off his seat belt

"Fine", I said in defeat

"My friend's father owns a huge company", Ruby said
"There he is", Ruby said pointing to a very young handsome man
With a "I'm rich and a lot of girls wants me" aura
"I think he's around Bright's age", Ruby said
Wait what, that young ? And he's married ?
"Oh, the wife passed away and he's a single parent", Ruby said which I was taken aback because she seems she can read my mind
We went to the receptionist
We gave our invitation and she let us in
Ruby went straight to her friends while Bright and I were going to grab some food
Bright said he wanted to go to the toilet and let me eat something first
I took some macaroons and cheesecakes
They look so delicious
Which I assume the owner maybe hired or own chefs for today's party
"Excuse me", someone said tapping my shoulders
I turned around to face a beautiful young lady

A company's name stated on the uniform
"May I help you ?", I asked
"Yes ! I'm the president's personal assisstant", she said
I was shock
She's someone huge here too
"I would like to offer you a job as the next personal assistant for Max.Co", she said
"Why ? I don't think I'm qualified", I said scratching my nape
"Yes you are ! We had all backgrounds of our guests tonight and I am waiting for your arrival and here we are !", She said
"You are a very pretty young lady, who experts in the sciences field also in a communication technologies field, a straight 'A's student also a clean criminal record, you're a perfect fit !", She continued
She then gave me a card
With the company's contact number and emails
"My name is Pear and if you wanted to try it out you can call our company and request a call under my name", she said
I nodded
"Thank you", I smiled
She then walk away
To be honest this is very awkward
Few hours later
We are in the centre of the living room it's huge that it can fit 60 people at least
"Today my daughter is going to pick one of the guests as the mother of the night", the mr.rich said
"Oh I forgot to tell you, she does this every birthday since she was 6 years old, after her mother died she needs the love of a mother, so she does this to fill her heart with a love of a woman", Ruby said
Looking around, almost every moms and female adults going crazy for the chance
Which I understand we are taking care of a very rich man
Maybe the could receive some profits from the care
"Aurora, you can pick one of them", mr.rich said
The very sweet young girl Aurora then started to walk around the room
Scanning every woman she passed by
It is almost as if she knew who she wanted to pick
Until she stops in front of me
"Mom !", She said hugging my legs

Ruby started to part me and Aurora apart
"I know you're gonna do this ! Even if we were friends she is my sister !", She said
Aurora feels defeated
I took Ruby to the side and have a small chat
"Ruby come one, that's not nice, it's her birthday and you know she lost someone very close to her and this night is her way to retrieve the love she needs", I said almost begging for Ruby to put her ego aside
She sighs
"Okay one night ONLY !", She said pouting yet angry
I smiled
"Aurora right ?", I ask approaching her
She nodded
"I'll be your mother for the night", I comfort her, tucking her into my embrace
