Sonya: Jax! You in here?
(Sonya finds Jax locked up in a cell)
Sonya: Oh my god, what did they do to you?
Jax: Just run girl, run
(Sonya sees a few figures behind her)
Shang Tsung: Miss Blade, you do not disappoint. I was expecting you
Sonya: Let him go! We're not a part of your tournament
Shang Tsung: On the contrary, you are very much a kontestant. You will face Sub Zero of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins
(Some icicles rise and explode and Bi-Han walks out of the explosion)
Bi-Han: You will feel death's cold embrace
(Sonya fights Bi-Han. It's definitely no question that Bi-Han is the more powerful fighter, and his ice powers let him do some considerable damage. But Bi-Han gets cocky and starts slacking, which gives Sonya the opportunity to turn the tables and catch him off guard with a hit to the nuts. Sonya wins the fight overall)
Sonya: Done! We're leaving!
(Raiden appears out of lightning)
Sonya: Stand in my way and I'll kick your-
Shang Tsung: A challenge?
(Raiden has a vision)
Raiden: No, you will not be the one to challenge Shang Tsung
Sonya: You want some too?! Fine by me!
(Sonya fights Raiden. Raiden is holding himself back, staying primarily on the defensive, but his restraint leads to Sonya knocking him down and winning the fight)
Sonya: Enough of this!
(Sonya pins Raiden and is about to punch him)
Raiden: Shield your eyes
Sonya: What?
(Raiden's eyes glow)
Raiden: Shield your eyes
(Raiden uses his powers to make the room glow while Sonya uses her equipment to free Jax from his cell)
Sonya: Jax, come on! We're out of here!
Jax: About time
(Jax puts his arm around Sonya and the two walk out of the area)
Shang Tsung: You aided their escape
Raiden: No. You allowed them to escape
Shang Tsung: They will not get far
Sonya: Come on Jax, move it! That's an order!
Jax: Oh, so you're in charge now?
Sonya: Special forces command this is
Sonya Blade, where's that evac?!
Comm: En route, they're coming to you
Sonya: Affirmative. Almost home, soldier
(Kitana and Jade walk towards Sonya and Jax)
Kitana: By order of Shang Tsung, no one leaves this island!
Sonya: I don't have time for this, get out of my way!
(Sonya fights Kitana and Jade at the same time. Kitana and Jade underestimate Sonya's fighting skills in the first part of the fight, and they take some good hits before they realize she means business)
(Sonya is able to maneuver herself so Kitana and Jade unwittingly help her out due to accidental friendly fire. This gives Sonya the advantage she needs to come out on top)
Sonya: I sure don't need any more surprises like them. How you holding up?
Jax: I'm fine
Sonya: (Rolls her eyes) Liar. After I get you to base, I'm coming back. Kano is still here somewhere
Jax: Your obsession with Kano is gonna get you killed someday
Sonya: I trusted him, Jax
Jax: Yeah, we all did
Sonya: But I was the one he used. I think our ride is here
(A helicopter is flying towards Sonya and Jax)
(A fireball hits the helicopter, making it explode)
Sonya: No! Damn you!
Shang Tsung: (Deactivates his fire magic)
Sounds like you have a challenger, Kano
Kano: Pretty boy ain't gonna save ya this time
(Sonya fights Kano. Kano's blind rage leads to stronger hits, but he isn't thinking clearly. Sonya keeps a clear head and absolutely manhandles Kano)
Sonya: You're coming with me
Shang Tsung: Kano is not your prisoner
Sonya: At least help Jax! He needs a medic!
(Shang Tsung laughs and walks away with Kano, Kitana, and Jade)
(Raiden arrives with a Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Liu Kang, and Echo)
Johnny: There she is! Sonya! Looks like you found him. Sup Sarge? (Relaxed salute)
Sonya: He's a- Hey, what are you doing?
(Raiden is using his lightning powers on Jax)
Jax: What the?
Sonya: Jax!
Johnny: Seriously, he's cool. Look
(Raiden uses his lightning powers to heal Jax)
Jax: That's amazing
Johnny: Told ya. Turns out he's a god
Echo: But not just any god. The god of thunder
Sonya: Thank you Raiden
Raiden: Gratitude is unnecessary. I have foreseen events, like memories of my future. They lead me to believe that you are all connected to earth realm's fate
Liu Kang: What have you forseen?
Raiden: In my visions Shao Khan becomes invincible. He destroys all life in earth realm. We will all die
Echo: (Wide eyes)
Raiden: I believe that these flashes are a key to defeating Shao Khan. But disrupting the flow of time can have serious consequences
Johnny: I'm not worried, I bet you could win this thing no problem
Raiden: Unless directly challenged, I cannot participate
Johnny: What should we do besides standing around looking pretty?
Sonya: (Annoyed look)
Raiden: For now, the tournament must run its course
Sonya: Alright then, we're with you Raiden
