#whatdowecallit Part 13

Wynonna looks around. She doesn't really know why she does, she's in a small half bath by herself. Really though, some small part of her does sort of get the gravity of the situation. As gross as Nicole and Waverly are with their smooching and cuddling all the time they are great parents and free babysitters, and they always have bread at their house so why the heck shouldn't they have a fourth kid if they want one.

Nicole makes her way down the hall to check on the kids. They are all huddled over a massive stack of linkin logs. Apparently, abandoning whatever card game they must've been playing before based on the primary colored cards strewn about the room.

Alice- Hi Aunt Nicole. She says looking up at her aunt.

Nicole enters the room in a loose fitting long sleeve shirt & light wash jeans, thick work socks were exchanged for bare feet.

Nicole- Hi Alice. Did you want a snack? She says walking over and resting her hand on her shoulder. The kids had one just before you got here. Dinner isn't going to be for a little bit.

Alice- No thanks. Mommy let me have a donut!

Nicole- Of course she did! She says smiling down at her. Hey you two! She says squinting at her twins. Make sure you get these cards picked up if you aren't playing with them. Okay?

Fauna- Yes Mama. Forest will help me. She says looking at her brother who immediately nods in agreement.

Forest- We will pick it up together. I know how all the cards go in the box.

Alice- I'm going to help too.

Nicole- Thank you all for being so good! Where's Auntie Nona? Directing her question to Fauna who is neatly stacking uno cards while Forest puts them in the box.

Alice- Mommy went to the bathroom. She says smoothing out a crumpled card.

Nicole- Oh yes. Okay. You guys keep playing nicely. We will be down in the kitchen if you need anything.

Nicole makes her way down the hall and down the stairs. She notices Agent Dolls' picture is slightly askew. It always is when Wyn is over. She knows Wyn touches the picture almost every time she passes it. It warms her heart. Nicole never fixes it until after she leaves. Xavier whose name sake they gave to Forest as a middle name, is never too far from their thoughts.

As she makes it to the bottom of the stairs her beautiful wife is just coming back around the corner to greet her.

Waverly- Ah perfect timing... see?

Nicole- There she is. All sunshine and smiles and flirty hazel eyes and a flowing high-waist floral skirt and a soft mauve tank top and Nicole is thinking... "How did I get so lucky?" She smiles at her. The Sheriff running strong calloused hands gently over her bare shoulders. Maybe you are pregnant. I haven't seen you without a sweater on all week and I haven't had to adjust the thermostat 37 times.

Waverly- Ha ha. She says pinching the skin of Nicole's biceps teasingly.

Nicole- Embracing her warmly with a kiss to the temple. Are we ready to look?

No sooner than the words leave Nicole's mouth does Wynonna exit the restroom pregnancy stick in hand.

Wynonna- Sooooooo.... What do we call it? She says holding the pregnancy test up delicately between her index finger and thumb. I mean, I'm no doctor but this is clearly two pink lines. I know you two have a penchant for weird names. So... what do we call it?

Nicole- She is positive her brain just melted.

Waverly- As mad as she wants to be; how could she? For one; SHE'S PREGNANT!... Secondly, her sister used the word "penchant" in a sentence properly.

Wynonna- Confused. Why are you two looking at me like that?
