Wyn- As a matter of fact I did! She says leaning down to tickle the little ginger.

Bridger- Giggling as his Aunt tickles him & blows a little raspberry behind his left ear. Ok you get 1 M&M for a number 1. He says smiling proudly. Good job Auntie Wyn! He holds his hand out for a high five and receives one.

Wyn- Ok but I'm bigger. She says reaching for the jar in Waverly's hand. Why don't I get high fives & M&M's when I pee at home? Where's Aunt Gus? We need to talk. She smiles wide, taking the jar of M&M's.

Waverly- Can you get out of here or help? She says going to the fridge to grab the soup.

Wyn- The idea of helping never really occurred to me. I thought me helping was me bringing the bread and salad stuff you told me to bring. Isn't that enough? Also- Putting the M&M's back in the pantry.

Nicole- Interrupting her before she upsets her pregnant wife with her nonsense. Wyn, why don't you help me with the table leaf?

Wyn- Fine. Grumbling & grabbing her beer off the counter.

Nicole and Wyn get to work on prepping the table. Waverly is hopeful she has a little helper. You really never know what you are going to get with Bridger. He is by far her most rambunctious & unpredictable child. With all that energy she's thankful he wasn't a twin. He is rough and tumble. He is funny. Bridger is above all else confident. It always astonishes her how different her boys are from each other.

Forest is mild mannered, shy, a people pleaser. Forest when he was Bridger's size never wanted to leave Waverly's side, always looking to Fauna to guide them. Bridger on the other hand just wants to go! He doesn't know where or why but if it's loud, sticky, bright, dusty, dirty, or muddy he is all for it.

The wild spark in him only makes the moments when he is still, so much more precious. His sweet face in the seconds just before he falls asleep or when he climbs up on the ottomon & oh so gently pets Calamity Jane, who he lovingly calls CJ. How he carefully helps pour the ingredients when he is helping his Aunt Gus and how he is so focused when he is watching his Mama split wood from his favorite spot on Waverly's lap up in the loft of their barn. Again, her thought ends as it began. You really never know what you are going to get with Bridger.

Waverly- Do you want to help me with dinner? She says, leaning down to kiss her baby on his forehead.

Bridger- Yes! He heads happily towards his helper table at the edge of the island.

They easily prepare dinner together. Italian bread, a salad, homemade parsnip & sweet potato soup, Bridger asking questions every fifth or sixth breath as is the norm. Aunt Gus joining them to pop the cornish hens in the oven for the meat eaters in the family.

Wyn & Nicole one job: Get the dining room ready.

Wyn- This dining room might be getting a bit small for us all. She says maneuvering the table leaf awkwardly.

Nicole- Shhhhh. Are you crazy?! If Waverly hears you she will lose her mind. Setting the leaf in place.

Wyn- Still haven't convinced her to get a bigger house? Attaching the latches under the table on her side.

Nicole- She would rather shave her eyebrows off than sell this house. Taking a swig of her beer. She told me that. Looking directly at Wyn seriously. Those are her words.

Wyn- I guess that means you're gonna make this one work. Downing the rest of her own beer.

Nic- Happy wife. Happy life. Right? She says patting Wyn on the shoulder, happy they at least now have the table back together & ready to eat on.

Wyn- I wouldn't know Nicole. You're the gay one & I'm not married.

Nic- Shut up. Shoving her. Help me set the table. Nicole laughs & finishes her beer.

Wyn- What the hell bro! I just announced your baby, brought you groceries, & put the damn table together now I gotta set it to? When the hell are we doing our celebratory shots I promised myself... I mean, us?!
