Chapter twelve Consequences

Cianna woke up in a prison cell. She was chained on the wall. "Hello..." Jadis chuckled; "So nice of you to join us...Would you care to join us upstairs?" "What is going on?" Cianna asked. "I feel no need to answer that. Guards! Take the girl upstairs! We have a visitor coming..." Jadis demanded.

The guards dragged Cianna up the stairs with cruelty. "Sister... The boy is approaching... There is only him and a horse." Jackie informed. "Good... But we need to be prepared to get ride of that little brat." Jadis said grinning.

A few minutes later

"JADIS! Give Cianna back." Edmund yelled charging in the room. "Oh you mean this girl?" Jadis said snapping her fingers. The guards came in holding a limp Cianna. "What did you do to her!?" Edmund yelled. "She is only deing. It's amazing what you can do with magic!" Jadis snapped. Edmund charged at Jadis. Jadis snapped her fingers and the guards threw her a sword. "Is that the way you want to play?" Edmund yelled towards Jadis.

To Jadis it all happened in a second, Edmund ran towards Cianna, thrusting his sword around at each henchman that came his way till he was close enough to help Cianna up. Jadis, shocked at how the tables had turned, launched an attack on Edmund and Cianna as Edmund was making sure she wasn't hurt.

Jadis's mind

He's gotten stronger. Why didn't I think about how he would have been training since last time!?

Meanwhile at Cara Paraviel.

"Where is Edmund, Charlie? You were the last one to see him." Peter asked. "Your Highness. Edmund came to the Stables to get Philip. When Buttercup rode up without Cianna. Buttercup had a note on her back. Here is the note..." Charlie said bowing his head, ashamed he kept such a big secret from the king. Peter read the note, eyes widening more and more the more he read it. "I'm going to kill him..." Peter said angrily; "Gather the troops. We've got a witch to get rid of. Once and for all."

Back at the Ice Castle an hour later

So the battle was still going on. Edmund and Cianna fighting for their lives. Just then. "For Narnia!" Peter's voice rang throughout the castle. Then they had a whole army fighting with them. "Enough!" Jadis yelled raising her hand she made everyone, besides Cianna, Edmund, and Peter freeze. They were to busy looking around to see what was going on to notice that Jadis was charging up on Edmund. "Now it's time you know what pain you caused me!" Jadis yelled. Everything seemed to go in slow motion to Cianna. She heard Peter yell Edmund's name as the White Witch's sword went through him. Then everything seemed normal except for Cianna. "YOU! I don't know how you came back from the damage Aslan caused you! But I know, I hate you!" Peter yelled, charging at Jadis. Cianna ran to Edmund with tears streaming down her face. "Edmund please... No... Don't leave me... No... No... No... You're too young to die!" Cianna sobbed. "C... Cian..." Edmund said. "Edmund save your breath... What do you want me to do? Can I help in any way?" Cianna asked sobbing. "I... I... I want... Some waffles..." Edmund said. Cianna looked at him baffled as the tears ran down her cheeks, she was seriously questioning what was wrong with him.

Lucy just got there in case if anyone was injured she could used her Cordial. Lucy's eyes widened in horror at the sight of her brother, covered in his own blood, lying on the floor limp. Peter headed over to Lucy to attempt to get her to leave as soon as he could. "Jadis is gone for good." Peter said quietly, cleaning off his sword. Cianna looked at her hands, she should've stopped it. Or at least seen it coming. Edmund used all of his last strength to sit up kiss Cianna just before he died in her arms.
