Chapter fourteen Reunion

"Your Majesties! Word has it that Lady Cianna is riding here and should be here any moment!" a messenger boy exclaimed. Susan jumped up. "Is this true?" she asked. Her eyes filled with excitement. "You Majesties the L-lady C-ianna... And... And... And..." The Courtier announced. "And?" Peter asked curiously. "King Edmund!" The Courtier yelled. "How is that possible? What does it mean!?" Peter asked. Just then Edmund walked in the room carrying the sleeping Cianna in his arms. "Edmund!" they all yelled at the same time.

Edmund chuckled shushing Susan and Lucyas they both rushed to give him a hug. "Are you alright?" Susan asked concerned. "What's wrong with Cianna!?" Lucy exclaimed. "I'm perfectly fine, and Cianna fell asleep on the way here." Edmund replied smiling. "I can't believe you're back, Ed!" Peter said smiling widely. "I can't either, Peter. I still don't understand what happened." Edmund said playfully laughing, but Peter could tell in his eyes, that was partially true. "You get Anna to bed. She looks like she isn't waking up anytime soon." Susan chuckled. "You're right, Sus. I'll be back in a bit." Edmund said, half jogging, half walking.

In Cianna's room

"What time is it? How did I get back here? Where's the Pevensies?" she said to herself quietly.

Cianna's thoughts:

Something has changed within me. Something is not the same... I feel different in a way no one could understand... I feel... Something entirely new...

Cianna scurried down the stairs of the palace to try and find the Pevensies. "Sir Kirby? Where are the P... Kings and queens?" Cianna asked the head of the royal guard. "They are in a meeting." Sir Kirby replied pointing at a huge set of curtains.

"Oh."

"Have you ever been in there, Lady Cianna?"

"No I have not! I prefer not to intrude on their duties!"

"Well if you had you would know that the cloth that covers that room only lets certain people in, it's enchanted. You can also see other people who are on the outside."

"So you mean they could see me right now?"

"Yes, My Lady. That is exactly what I mean."

"I'm going to go. Please if anyone looks for me. Just let them try to find me."

Sir Kirby looked at her quizatively but still did her bidding for who knows if he could lose his job if he defies her.

Edmund's thoughts behind the curtains:

Where is Cianna going? I bet she wanted to see my siblings. Aah.

That evening once Edmund finally got out of the meeting, he went to Cianna's room to see how she was doing, only to find her on her balcony gazing at the sky. Edmund looked closer. She was trembling.

"Cianna? Are you okay?"

"I... I... I don't know..."

"Is it about what Fiara said?"

"I... I don't know."

"I've have been worried about you... You were asleep for a week."

"What!? I was!?"

"Yes you were. So what's wrong?"

"I just don't... Feel the same..."

"What is that? You can tell me anything. Anna you know this. No matter what's going on... I'll still... Feel the same way?"

"I'm fine. It's just the fact that Fiara was saying all of that stuff about following my destiny... And just... The way she said it, she made it sound like..."

"Like what?"

"She made it sound like I become a villain! And I hurt all of you and I don't want to do that!" she cried out with a sudden burst of tears. Edmund kind of smiled trying comfort her.

"I think I may know how to make you feel better."

"I doubt that..."

Edmund leaned in and kissed her. Once again she stood there shocked. But then she returned it. This did help a little bit. Then they stopped and Edmund just hugged her.

"Listen, C. I'll always be here for you. And if that does happen. I'll stop it. I swear. If it'll make you happy, I'll do it."

"Edmund you don't have too!"

"Anna. I want too. For you. I can't word it yet, but your special to me."
