setting the scene:
Jamison is set at an interview for a mental health campaign... They asked him how he got through his toxic and painful past.

I've been holding my breath
I've been counting to ten
Over something you said

'The Power of Okay'

Jamison Fawkes would be the representation of this new campaign. He was a new face in mental health.. And he was happy to help those in need.
Or those who were once in a similar situation as him.
"Jamison, could you describe some of the things that were said to you in your past relationship?"
Jamison gave a nod in response, opening his mouth begin to speak.

Harsh, venomous words shot from the older man's mouth, phrases that were laced with nothing but the intention of pain.

"You need to get yourself together!"

"You're insane, why should I love you?"

"Why don't you go back to the insane asylum where you belong?"

"Why would they let a lunatic out if all he does is cause harm to his friends around him?"

"Your friends don't actually love you, all they're doing is tolerating you so you don't go insane and hurt them again."

"You're fucking insane!"

The words caused choked sobs to leave Jamisons lips, head resting against the door that separated the two, holding onto himself. Jamison waited for the sound of his boyfriend walking away before he really let the sobs go, falling to his knees as he held onto himself.

"One.. Two.. Three.. Four.. Five.. Six.. Seven.. Eight.. Nine.. Ten...”

Jamison had to count to relax himself from the harsh words... He couldn't do it anymore.. He could feel himself crumbling.

"How did you deal with the continuous words thrown at you? And what is your advice for people who have the same words thrown at them?"

Jamison anxiously tapped his fingers against his stool, before he spoke, movememt flinchy and spastic... “It was hard, I admit.. My mindset was always that it was my fault, and what he said was true.. Which I understand is a lot of others' mindsets in relationships like this... But I learned that it's not my fault. I was being hurt and treated poorly.. But if you can't get yourself out of the relationship, breathe. Take deep breaths, and know that you'll always have someone to turn to... It's scary, but you can make it out of there."
