Chapter 14

Author's POV

Jaeun ran out as she met the clear sea she couldn't do anything but let her tears out. She was so done with is, with them. But did she really want to give up on him?Did she want to give up all of those memories.

He was her everything , he was the reason she wanted to better herself . So she was good enough for him . To her he was the only ray of light through the darkness she was fighting against.

As she got closer to the sea , she started walking closer and closer . The sea was reaching higher and higher . Starting from her ankles until it started to reach her knees . She had accepted her fate and maybe just maybe this was the path god wanted her to go. She had no reason to carry on . She had no motivation. No source of light anymore.

She was trapped all on her own . This scared her extremely , she had resisted until now. This was moment. She closed her eyes reminiscing on those moments with hoseok . This was it she thought.

On the other hand Jungkook had to put up a whole day with a clingy soomin . She was like a wasp that constantly bothered him. She would throw herself onto him while he had repeatedly pushed him off. He looked over Soomin , she was deeply asleep.

He thought this was the moment he could escape. As he quickly slipped his shoes on . He started to head to the beach, wanting to clear his mind.

He had always found these landscapes soothing. He took of his shoes wanting to feel the sand . He felt his toes in the cold sand. His eyes widened . He saw a girl who was deep in the sea. 

Half her body was already under sea and at his rate she would drown . He immediately sprinted to where the girl was .

Jaeun felt arms looped around her waist as she came to her senses. She started to protest by kicking the person yet this person was much stronger than she was . She stoppped protesting as she felt her feet graze the soothing sand again.

As she reached the sand she started to ball out with tears again. She fell to her knees .The amount of times she tried to end her life , but someone always ended up stopping her.

Jungkook went over to the women , trying to comfort her . Until she saw her face ....." Jaeun?"The girl cocked her head to the man . Her eyes were puffy and the tip of her nose was bright red . She looked so innocent and fragile , all i want to do is protect her.

Out of instinct he wrapped his arms around her trying to soothe her. She tried to punch his chest, resisting the help . But she ended up sobbing and just gave up , crying in his embrace.

He cooed " It will be fine , don't worry." As she started to calm down he shifted her body towards  him. His eyes were full of worry as he met her puffy ones.

" Tell me what's wrong ?" She hesitantly turned her body not wanting to answer him. As he shifted her body towards him again.

" Seriously, tell me Jaeun . I am not your boss right now I am just Jeon Jungkook. A regular man that wants to help." She hesitantly agreed upon seeing such a caring side of him . She never thought she thought she would see.

" It all starts from my freshman year , when I me him. I was introverted and shy and felt nervous to speak to anyone new . I was different and I didn't want anyone to see this side of me . I always felt weird and felt it being hard to fit in with anybody."

"Until he came into my life. He was the ray of light that shone into me . He was one of the only people I ever got close to . He was caring ,kind and" ........

She felt more tears as she digged deeper into their past . Jungkook started to rub her back calming her down . She smiled at him encouraging her to carry on . She gulped and carried on.

" But this eventually turned into a downwards spiral as he graduated and got a job. He was focusing on his career and that meant we had less time to spend together. He worked very on his job and i remember celebrating each  of his promotions ."

" This happened until i came back home and found him cheating on me with his secretary. Now they  been  dating for one month and I cant believe how fast he got over our 5 year relationship. Just like that< it was gone." 

Jungkook's eyes widened at this . " He's such an asshole ." Jaeun chuckled " Your not any better you just fuck girls all the time and leave them right after."

Jungkook looked annoyed " That's only because I haven't found the right girl yet."

" You know what " Jungkook stood up leading me a hand . Hand in hand he lead me a tiny bit closer to the sea again .

" Every time I am upset I shout them out , "It's always better than bottling them up. "He demonstrated " I hope i can find a girl that isn't after money or sex ! " he shouted .I hesitantly tried it " Jung hoseok your going to regret cheating on me, wait for it ! " 

He frowned at the name mentioned. The CFO of his company had the same name but he didn't pay too much attention to it . 

" Thank you Jungkook, you really help me out today ." I smiled at her response . How did I never realize she was so adorable.
