Sounds are produced by vibrations;
a collision as instantaneous as it releases
it's as if they're made to break apart
as soon as the impact sets in
and if they ever collide again
in this relentless universal motion
the sound it renders becomes
louder, striking, and makes an
imprint to the memory of all
who hearkened to how it resonated
and if you listen carefully,
it is not entirely the sound of
separation that's reclusive and heartbreaking
it's the silence that comes after
no wonder how above all, people produce
the most melodramatic sounds
