I will now be updating every 3 to 5 days now. The virus has reached over 2.75 million worldwide, and there is now 911K in the USA. By the end of the weekend, maybe even tomorrow, the US will become the first country to reach 1M cases, and based on a vaccine being in the makings it may be the only one, indefinitely the only one, as Spain has the 2nd highest amount of cases and has over 200K cases. So we're so speedy in cases because Trump is acting and making people act like this is nothing.
I was walking home from the store yesterday and saw something that looked like a corn cob, that had been eaten. Turns out, this wasn't that. I looked further and it was a yellow morel. I checked for more and I missed one, and I found it today. It was also the only other one, and it was rather grayish brown than yellow, but morels can come in a multitude of colors. I also found another half free morel in my original spot. The season lasts until as far as the end of May here, so there's still 4 to 5 weeks left to find morels. The Half Free Morels tasted delicious, but I heard the Yellow Morels are the best of the entire Morel genus. So when we cook them it'll be good. But I want to wait to find more. A ton of rain is forecast tomorrow night into Sunday, 1 to 2 inches, possibly more locally, and that'll bring them out, so I'll check the spots on Monday or Tuesday, probably both days as if that much rain comes the morels could grow rapidly. April showers bring April and May Morels ! And April showers also bring May Flowers (especially the pretty lilacs, which are out now instead of in May due to how warm winter was)!
