Chapter Two:

It was around midnight when I woke up in Sweet Peas arms from a call on my phone from another Rebel who had to make FP leave the bar. I tried to swiftly get out of Sweet Peas embrace without waking him, but it didn't work he started to open his eyes.

"What's going on?" He grabs his phone to check the time.

"It's FP again I have to go pick him up." I pull the blankets off myself.

"Do you want me to come with you?" He starts to get up and put pants on.

"No just go back to bed, If I don't come back tonight I'll see you tomorrow." I put my shirt on.

"Okay, I love you Betty!" I smile.

"I love you too!" I lean in and kiss him, I grabbed my jacket and keys and walked out.

In the cold of night I drove towards the bar, where I saw some people kicking someone on the ground. I jump out of my truck and run towards the group of people, I guess I scared them away because they ran leaving the man on the ground. When I approached the man to help him I saw that it was FP on the ground.

"Oh FP—What happened?" I grab him and pull him up.

I carry him to my truck and throw him in the passenger side. I start driving until I reached our trailer. I get out and run to the other side, I grabbed the drunken man who smelt of strong booze and covered in blood. I carried him inside and tried to turn on the light, but I couldn't see and started stumbling into his bedroom, we bumped into whatever was hidden in the dark. When we finally reached his bed I threw him on there and started to take off his boots. I laid him on the bed and put the covers on him then sat on the floor beside the bed trying to catch my breath. I was tempted to just fall asleep there, but I knew he would be pissed at me if he knew that I fell asleep in his room. I slowly got up about to walk out when FP quietly asks for me.

"Betty—" I slowly walk over and kneel down.

"Yes FP?"

He turns towards me. "I know I don't treat you like your family, but I want you to know that you are my daughter and I love you like a daughter no matter what." I almost started to cry.

"Thank you FP for taking me in, I know it wasn't your ideal life." A tear comes down. "I appreciate you being a father to me."

He wipes off a tear sending me out of the room to get some sleep for the rest of the night. I pulled out the couch making my bed as I ball my eyes out. I placed my pillows down on the cold surface of the couch as I wiped my eyes with my other hand, I was about to take off my jacket when I felt the flash drive in my jacket pocket. My bag was in the kitchen, but if I grabbed that bag and took out my computer I could find out who I was supposed to be before I was abandoned here. If I did this it could change everything. Would I rather remain known as unknown or find out who I am? My whole look on how my life is supposed to go will be put down for the rest of my life. I'm just gonna stick with what I know--at least for now and just change into my pajamas to ration what I just witnessed.

Sun shone through the windows, blinding me from the safety of my sleep. I slowly start opening my eyes when I saw Veronica sitting in my desk chair on her phone. I sat up and checked my clock. Eight thirty.

"Veronica? What are you doing here?" I get up from the blankets.

"You're mom let me in! She said you were tired from dinner last night."

"Why are you here?" I put on pants.

"We're supposed to have a date right now. Did you forget?"

"Veronica it's eight thirty." My head planted deeply into my palm.
