The Ending of My World

Chapter Five:

Today FP is supposed to get home, but Jaylens mother hasn't come to pick her up. I've been letting her sleep on my bed because I don't want FP to freak if he finds out a strangers been sleeping on his bed.

"Are you hungry?" I ask looking through the fridge.

"No I'm fine, thank you!" She was adjusting her leg.

"So my dad will be back today, if your mother hasn't got here before he does, I need you to just say I let you stay for one day because I rescued you." I walk towards her with coffees.

"Understood, you must have a strict father." I handed her the cup.

"You have no idea." Right on cue FP walks in holding two suitcases.

"Hey FP! You brought two suitcases for a week trip?" I put down my cup.

"No, who is this?" He puts down the suitcases.

"I helped rescue her yesterday when she fell down a hill, I let her stay here last night because she doesn't live here." All of a sudden a lady comes barging in, I looked really confused.

"I'm sorry I had to answer a call. FP who is this?"

"This is Betty, my adopted daughter." He moves over.

"Your adopted daughter? FP how long have you raised her?"

"Since she was two days old which was seventeen years ago."

"That was only three months after I left FP." She gets really offended.

"You must be Alice! It's nice to meet you." I try to make the conversation less awkward.

"Mom?" Jaylen gets up on her crutches and walks over.

"Jaylen? What're you doing here? What happened to your leg?" She stopped and finally realized that she made a mistake.

"Wait Jaylen? Alice is this my daughter?" FP stood straight up.

"I'm sorry FP! Yes this is your daughter." Both FPs and Jaylens face turned white.

"The doctors told us you lost her." Tears start forming. "You left me because we lost her, why have you been hiding her from me?"

"FP please calm down, I didn't tell you about Jaylen because I didn't want you to be in either of our lives." Those words broke FPs heart, I saw it in his eyes. "You drank too much and were apart of that gang, I didn't want to raise a daughter in that situation."

"I never drank when I was with you and you know it and I was apart of the Serpents before I met you."

"Wait he's my father which makes her my sister?" Jaylen stumbles towards us.

"Not even sweetheart! This girl is nothing, but a trade for us." Alice looks at me, I got up about to start swinging.

"Mom don't talk to her like that, she saved my life if it wasn't for her I would be dead." She sits down in a chair.

"Come on Jaylen, we're going home." Alice says as she grabs her suitcase.

"I want to get to know my father. And this gang 'The Serpents' I remember Betty wearing a jacket that said that when she found me." I'm still trying to calm down.

"Alice how about this, you stay in a hotel for a week and Betty and I can get to know Jaylen?" FP steps in front of me.

"No way I'm letting our replacement know my daughter." I started moving towards her when FP grabs a hold of me and sets me down. "She's a feisty one, I bet you taught her how to drink and kill people in that gang of yours. How old was she when she joined."
