The next day I woke up next to Colby in his bed. Oh come on, what happened to keeping your distance! I thought as I climbed out of the bed and walked outside. After sitting outside for a while watching the sunrise I decide to go take a shower and start my day. As I walk in Corey and Devyn walk down the stairs. Devyn looked like she wanted to say something but I looked into her eyes and walked right past her without saying a word. I could feel the tense atmosphere as I walk up the stairs. I go into Colby's room and get some clothes then walk out the door again. Just as I enter the hallway Katrina walks out of Sam's room and looks at me. Tears well up in her eyes as I walk into the bathroom and shut the door without a word. After my shower I cooked food for everyone and then took Colby's to his room. I walked in and saw that he was finally awake. "Hey there sleepyhead, I brought you some food." He sits up and thanks me before digging in. "Listen I gotta go out and do something today can I use your car?" He nods and I stand up ready to leave. Before I walk out the door I turn back to Colby. "Hey, do you wanna come with me. I would like to spend some time with you." He eagerly nods and I walk out of the room to let him get ready. I walk back downstairs to see everyone else eating. "Thanks Queen, we really appreciate this." Devyn said and I just nodded curtly and went back outside to sit and relax. Soon after both Devyn and Katrina both came outside looking ready to talk. I get up and try to see if Colby is ready yet but Katrina grabs my arm and I stop in my tracks. "Yes?" I ask and she let's go, "we want to talk to you please." I scoff. "Well isn't that too bad, because I don't want to talk to you." I stated and walked away. Colby met me at the door and we headed out. Right there and then I decided that I really wanted to be with him. I am so close to fixing the problem that I want to risk it. As we sit in the car I laced my hand with his and almost laugh at his surprised expression. I start the car and start driving to my warehouse. Once we arrive and I park the car I see that my whole gang is already there. Colby goes to get out of the car but I pull him back to me. "Listen Colby, whatever goes on in there you can't talk about. And let me do the talking once we get in there, it will go a lot better if you did." He nods and gives me a questionable look. We walk in hand in hand and I can feel the atmosphere change as we walk in. The whole place goes silent as we get stared at, "hey guys, what's up?" The place irrupts into questions. "HEY! listen, I wanted to spend more time with him. No I didn't tell him anything. And yes I am talking a risky move on him. I really like him and will protect him at all costs. I should be able to live my life without this. You guys should to! I want to have friends and not be known as they psycho kids' just to keep this a secret" I gave Colby's hand a squeeze and he smiles at me. "Should we tell him what he's up against then?" Cristina asks and I nod. "Baby come sit down and let me explain something to you." Colby blushes at my name for him and comes and sits down. "It all started when I was 15. I had my first boyfriend. He was amazing. His name was Parker. He was my everything. We dated for five months until he died by suicide. Then there was Connor, we dated for eight months until he died by suicide. Then there was Whinnie, Bruce, Ren, and last but not least Tyshawn. All died the same way." Colby looked confused, "so what does that have to do with me?" I sighed before telling him the rest. He looked at me in udder disbelief and looked at the others for confirmation. They nodded and told him it was true. He stood up and hugged me, I kissed his check and told him to go sit down while we work. "Okay so what have we got on him so far? Current locations, recent purchases, meetings with sketchy people?" Andrea stands up and hands me a file. "Last seen two towns over buying a new rifle, and meeting with John bond." I nod and hand the file back. "Okay then we move the plan up earlier than expected. He obviously knows about Colby and is planning an attack. We strike first, keep an eye on him and wait for an opening I'll call the sniper squad and their assailants. We take him out before he even gets the chance to hurt anyone." I order and I get on the phone to call in the teams. After hanging out for a few hours, Colby and I leave and I drive back home. We pick a movie and watch it before heading to bed. I happily slept next to him ready for what's to come.
