Strum My Pain ..

Few days after the final game , and Dan hasn't left his condo or talked to anyone , ignored all his friends' calls and texts ..

He looked around him searching for more beer bottles but they were all empty, the place was nothing but a 'hovel' , a 'dump' full of dirtiness and bad smells .. He didn't care , he was overthinking, angry and lost at what he saw days ago at the sports hall , the girl he loved so much for long years belongs now to someone else .. and who ? his friend "Evan" the most charming , humble, popular guy of the basketball team .. Who wouldn't fall for such guy ! ..He laid back frustrated on his bed and sighed .. Till he heard someone knocking on his door :

-"Dan !! Open up, I know you're inside!!..." 

-"Sodd off , I don't wanna see anyone ,I wanna be left alone"-"Man , let me in , I won't leave ! Open the fu**ing door ..Dan !!

Dan ,annoyed, pouted and stepped with heavy head and foots to open the door because he knew very well if he won't let him in , Liam wouldn't leave and would stand outside and bug him until dawn .. -"Damn ! your place smells like ...ewwff , what's going on with you?"-"

Am living the best days of my life ,can't you see !!".  His sarcastic yet deep brittle voice made Liam even more worried, he sat next to Dan and said :"Why don't you tell me what's happening..you're not answering my calls, been texting you for days ! I had to drive for an hour in this crazy jam to see you, make sure Okay and alive" .. 

Dan lifted his head instantly and shouted violently " Well clearly am not !!!!! it's over man, my life is over !!!!" and a second after, bursted in tears on the floor .. Just when Liam- startled- kneeled to hold him he went on: " Becca was everything to me ,she was the only one I ever loved and felt myself with , she is the most beautiful and the most special ..and am.. am an idiot ! a loser! you know what's hurting me so bad is that she has no idea about how I feel cause am a coward , I never told her ..wish I did but it's too late" ..

Liam watched his mate sobbing like a child and angrily said : "it's never too late, call her ,go see her and tell her  all of this !!! what are you waiting for!"Dan glared at his friend and threw wildly whatever his hands could reach "Am telling you it's over !! she belongs to someone else, she is in love , I saw it in her eyes!! she never looked at me that way ..I lost her man..I lost my Becca to "Evan Cantley" ! Dan laughed frantically.. as he fell on the bed; tearful ,swamped with dreadful emotions ; into deep sleep.Liam couldn't handle how upset and miserable his "most loved boy" felt , grabbed his phone ,looked at its screen for minutes.. And with eyes full of rage he muttered:" I won't let them hurt you Dan ,I promise " ~~
