𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 ♡

The literature hours felt like a lifetime, she was angry and anxious and she needed to explain herself to a certain someone, she grabbed her phone and typed:

"Hey, you alright, I need to talk to you, let's meet" .

Her inner voice inside was telling her that she didn't do anything wrong, Dan was her good friend, she didn't mean anything , besides it's not like she was Evan's woman to feel guilty..     But she was falling for him and having doubts is the last thing she wanted ~

Becca already knew that the national team was flying the next morning for an off-season basketball training program ; which means she won't be seeing him for weeks ..

He called her that evening after training to tell her that he was on his way , he parked his car and waited for her to come down ~~

Evan's POV***

The little figure appeared from the dark and I thought to myself "What am I doing here" .. clinging on me-on her tiptoes- she reached my face to dab a kiss on my cheek as I leaned to help her out, I was smiling inside, she was seriously short but cute in a way ..!

We walked to her house , it was nice duplex apartment, very neat . Took the stairs to her room :   " I want to shower, am all sweaty from training " , she dazed for a moment and said " Sure, let me get you a towel, the largest one  hehe!" .. funny way to escape her uneasiness I thought !

I took my shower, felt fresher, she was in the kitchen preparing dinner though I didn't come for that, she wanted to talk so here I am.

I rested on her bed , but she sat on a chair by the bedroom door! How awkward was that!! She just stared at me .. "So ..Do you wanna tell me something, Becca?"

"Yeh ..well ..umm ..about the other day with Dan, it's not what you think it was, I mean he ..out of nowhere lift.."

"Becca , I don't care about Dan, I care about you .."!

I thought it was no point in bringing what I saw that day , I was enraged and I admit it, I felt bit jealous . But seeing her face blushing as she was fixing me and her eyes sparkling again, I wanted to enclose my arms around her tiny body and kiss her face so bad.. but that was just in my head ..

She mumbled jokingly " Tall creature ! Look at your feet, hanging out of my bed " ..I smiled instantly, she always made fun of my height.

She went to her drawer and showed me few scoring paper sheets she kept from some games and I was astonished "she's been there watching me the whole time " !  .. I lost track of hours following her with whatever she was doing and saying, until I looked up my watch and it was almost 9 pm , I needed to catch the team before they leave .. " Well I must go now, don't wanna be late " .

Her eyes went gloomy and I could tell she didn't want me to leave, she nodded with a mournful smile and we came to the front door . I bended forward at the waist to hug her , folding my arms across her upper back ..I felt her head meeting my lower chest and I was wasted away at her throbbing heart and her warmth that took over my last breath ..She whispered " Take care of yourself , I'll be cheering for you " then flinched ..

"Yeh you too , I'll text you .." Our eyes locked , she was almost tearful ..I left her place and hit the road ~

Am such an idiot , couldn't even touch her or kiss her though I wanted to !! Am sure she felt same way , but Damn it ,I never understood what was holding me back ..afraid maybe ? but from what ?

and I had no idea why we were so awkward around each other  ~~
