****
My name is JOSE LUIS GENEROSO CARLOS.  The first  son of Jose Carlos and Ramona Generoso.
I have 2 younger brothers, actually,  they were fraternal twins Jose Ramon, whom we call Dos because he was minutes older than the other and Jose Ricardo,  whom we call Third as he was a few minutes younger than Dos.  They're both 23 yrs old now.
I also have a  younger sister,  Maria Ramona, whom we call Mara and she just turned 18.

My father was an engineer and a developer and a  construction conglomerate while my mother, though she was a housewife, came from a family of gas suppliers,  Gen Oil Corp.

In other words,  we were born with a silver spoon.
Unlike other rich kids we know from movies or novels,  we were different.
We were brought up in a way where we can only get what we want if we work hard on it.

My parents believed that hard work is akin to success.

Like,

Manghugas ka ng pinggan every meal for a month.

Gusto mong mag travel abroad?

It was her way of disciplining us, lalo na kaming mga lalaki.

Nothing comes for free,  ika nga. Lahat dapat pagsikapan, pagtatrabahuhan.

Mama was a strict mom.

Lets say na takot kami kay Mama, but then, we also knew na ginagawa nya lang yun kasi mahal nya kami at gusto nyang mapabuti kami. Her love and care for us were unquestionable.

Papa, on the other hand,  is a lenient father.

Sya yung cool dad,

But because he loved my Mama so much,  he would always bend to Mama's wishes and demands.

It was not like "under de saya" si Papa.  Ayaw lang nya ng gulo and he would also agree that Mama was doing the right thing,  lalo na at 3 kaming lalaki.

But when it comes to important decisions, lalo na sa finances and business,  si Papa pa rin ang may last say.

That was how we were raised.

I was a smart, responsible, serious kid,  a typical kuya to my younger siblings.

Mula ng bata pa ako,  natanim na sa isip ko that I will be taking over our company someday.  Kung di man ang kabuuang management, I was pretty sure na ako ang magiging Chief Executive Officer ng CarGen Construction and Development Corporation.
