The food was good. It was easy to clean and left me with only one conclusion. Itachi's a robot soldier who ran away from the military to join the Spades. There's no way that he gets to be able to kill someone with a toothpick, look incredibly attractive, and cook? ....Either that or he was actually human and I didn't want to admit incompetence.

Wait. If he was feeling in the mood to give me some basic human rights, then maybe I could score some way to clean myself up a bit. "Hey, does this place have anywhere for me to take a shower or do I just get to roll around in my own filth until somebody decides to let me go home, un?"

"Yeah, there is. Follow me."

The showers were ugly, but unexpectedly sanitary, so I  didn't complain. Itachi didn't say anything, he just walked out and I took that as my cue to do as needed. The hot water and the small form of comfort that it brought was more than welcomed on my skin. I hadn't been in this place for long, but the amount of shit that's went down so far made me wish that the moment lasted a bit longer before I stepped out.

After moving aside the shower curtain, I noticed the neatly stacked pile at my feet. In it was a towel and a cleaner version of the clothes I was wearing earlier. it was obviously left by Itachi. I swear, that bastard was the definition of mixed messages. At least I was benefiting from it this time. I dried off and got dressed before exiting  the bathroom and finding Itachi waiting for outside.

"Where to next?" I asked. Everything had been semi scheduled before. Now, all we had to do was sit and wait for something to happen. I just wasn't used to it.

"Back to the room." He answered blankly.

That was odd. "Isn't this to early for me for me to be sleeping?" I didn't have a watch on me, but there was a fair amount of daylight left when we were in Pain's office.

"You can sleep whenever, I just have my own things that I need to get done." Explained Itachi.

"Aww, so you won't be joining me in the bedroom? But I'll be so lonely without you!" I whined

Itachi faltered for a moment. Almost losing his composure before before quickly regaining it. "You're immature."

"So what?" I shrugged.

Sure, I wasn't exactly pleased about being sent to bed like child, but I was honestly surprised that Itachi bothered to stay with me for this long.

After that, we walked back to the room without much conversation. Before Itachi could leave, I asked him what would happen if pain called for us while we were asleep. He responded with something along the lines of "I'll just wake you up." Which was weird because it implied that he wouldn't also be asleep. Another point for escaped military robot idea.

The door was locked behind him and it didn't take long for me to fall into a dreamless sleep.

                                               ~

"...ara..et..up...Deidara, Get up!"

Itachi shook me awake and threw me a blanket? No, a cloak. Which, upon further inspection, was decorated with a pattern of red clouds. I threw it on in a tired haze and looked at Itachi, who was already wearing a cloak of his own. In any other situation, Itachi and I would've looked pretty damn good as one of those couples who wore matching outfits. Let's face it, Itachi and I would look good as a couple as is, but now wasn't the time to be thinking about that.

"What time is it?" I asked through a yawn. The artificial light in the room hurt my eyes and everything outside the window was pitch black.

Itachi gave me a sympathetic look. " I let you sleep as long as I could, but we really have to leave now.

Pity? From him? Sure, my standards were pretty low at this point, but I found it oddly flattering. Whatever, I'd take what I could get.

I slipped on my shoes and sleepily followed him out of the room. It took me until we had almost reached the exit before I realized that we were actually leaving leaving.

An: How is there 3k views? I literally wrote this because I was mad at the lack of fics for this ship. Just. For. Shits. You people need higher standards.
