Finally! After a long amount of waiting, we get new Rise episodes! And it was glorious!

Ok, they were filler, but still! I thought they were quite hilarious.

Anyway, in case you didn't see any of the episodes, prepare for some reading! I'm going to be doing my best to recap while saying my thoughts. Anyways, let's start out with the first one!

Breaking Purple: It starts out with Donnie making what I'm fairly certain is a hoagie with too much cheese and with avocados, however, it lands right on his face when SHELLDON, Donnie's drone and A.I. partner zooms by, racing around the house. So, Donnie goes to Dad Mode and scolds him, but doesn't get through to him.

Mikey AKA Dr. Delicate Touch turns into Dr. Feelings (I'm not making that up) to try and stop Donnie from becoming an angry Dad and communicate with SHELLDON, but when Donnie tries?

He straight up grounds him with some kind of restraining bolt.

So, SHELLDON manages to escape the lair and eventually comes face to face with The Purple Dragons. Remember those guys? Well, we haven't seen them in a long time, but they are personal enemies of Donnie and a team of hackers who are hellbent on controlling the world's technology.

Kendra, their leader, decides to use some classic human deception and tricks SHELLDON into becoming The Purple Dragons official racer for a Drone Race, whose reward is a powerful piece of technology called The Shadow Transmitter.

When the race starts, Donnie somehow enters the race and tries to talk SHELLDON out of racing, but it is too late and SHELLDON won't listen to him. Eventually, Donnie thinks that the only way to convince SHELLDON that The Purple Dragons aren't his friends, he wins the race to show them how The Purple Dragons deal with failure.

SHELLDON is kicked out of the group and returns to Donnie, who apologizes to him and they hug it out.

Also? Dr. Delicate Touch has no feelings.

Repairing The Baron: This episode starts out with Raph helping out April fix her apartment's fan, but her neighbor from above ruins it and they go to interrogate him before learning it's the dangerous warrior alchemist from The Hidden City:

Baron Draxum.

Of course, last time we saw Baron Draxum was in Many Unhappy Returns, where he learned he was betrayed by The Foot Clan, and that his soul's energy was swallowed by the mystical samurai demon Shredder. But now he has an apartment and is incredibly weak, no longer being able to use any of his powers.

Raph attacks him until Mikey shows up to stop him, telling him that he found Draxum on the streets and gave him a home since he believes that Draxum deserves a second chance since he's their creator. But Raph ain't buying it.

Eventually, Splinter, Leo, and Donnie are called in. They thought they were going to meet April's parents for the first time, but instead? They only met Draxum and gave him glares.

So? Mikey decides to start a family dinner where Splinter and Draxum argue about their past, so Mikey thinks it's a bright idea to bring him to Albearto Land. The theme park based off Freddy Fazbear-

I MEAN ALBEARTO.

Draxum? Well, he hates every single bit of it and even assaults a child, who kicks him in the face. Mikey eventually learns that this was a terrible idea before seeing that Draxum's old bounty hunters showed up to take him back into The Hidden City.

Those two bounty hunters were sent by The Yokai Council, who want to arrest Draxum for his crimes against not only Yokai kind, but revealing their secret to humanity from when he fused with The Dark Armor.

So, Raph and Mikey agree to give Draxum a second chance and protect him and Draxum does the most shocking thing ever? He saves a mom and her child off a broken Ferris Wheel, but in the process?

His helmet is broken off. Apparently he never had horns or a blue face. HE HAS A FACE that looks like...a mean purple human with red hair. I mean, better than his face being broken...

In the end of the episode, Draxum finds out his true passion and a way he can still hate humans. He becomes the school cafeteria manager. Insulting teenagers and taking out any fights.

Guess Draxum believes in no bullying as well. Although, I honestly thought he was going to be a Driver's Ed...Actually, no. New York would have fewer drivers if he was.

Air Turtle: Leo accidentally creates a basketball team of demonically possessed humans. That's it.

Pizza Puffs: This episode starts out with Meat Sweats trying to sell a mutant toxin inside a delicious pizza puff, but is stopped by Raph, who locks up the pizza puffs inside the lair...until his brothers steal them all.

The toxin however seems to have different effects. Leo's head goes on fire multiple times, Mikey's bones have become jelly, and Donnie's stomach is alive.

Y'know, typical effects when you have pizza puffs.

So, Raph tries to tell them about responsibility like a true leader, but they don't listen to him. So, after they track down Meat Sweats? He sends them in alone.

The Turtles however defeat Meat Sweats by giving him the toxin and stealing the antidote, using it on themselves and then escaping.

But...The last scene is...interesting...I'm not even sure what to make of it. When Meat Sweats drinks the last drop of the antidote, shadows from inside his boat come out and attack him before the episode ends.

So, no doubt that this is setting up a plot point, but who the heck are those shadow hands...? And why do I feel like they're familiar?
