Allenwood Correction Complex
Nidika Pov
Nandika reached into her pocket taking out her burner that she had carried with her. She quickly punched in the number for Director Hamilton looking around the visitation room seeing If there was anyone suspicious standing around. All that she saw was the security guard that was behind the screen. This was her only chance of finding why he and Ruyan recruited Grey for?
She started to wonder if the prison guard had been on the Resistance payroll too? It made sense to her. She should tell that he was afraid for his life in here. She didn't believe in coincidences that meant that only one thing that they knew She was coming?
She had doubled checked before she entered the visitation room. They had tried to scrub her on the way here which meant that she was onto something big but was the question?
Her gut was telling her that she was in danger and to get out alive Before something happened. While her instincts were sharp as Ever.
Director Hamilton, I Phone 7 buzzed in her pocket inside of her jacket that she was wearing. She reached into her taking out her phone seeing that it was encrypted number she clicked the accept button before she answers.
"Nandika what did you find out from Martin Ray there,"
"Nothing before I could finish questioning he was dead. I think someone somehow got to him plus I almost shot at on my way down by an assassin," Nidika told her.
"Shit he was our only chance to get find about the gold and Azalea," Director Hamilton told her.
"What are we going to do now," Nandika asked.
"I want you to head St Petersburg to check out that Orphan home to see what you can find out Grey," Director Hamilton told her.
Nandika ended the call on her burner placing it back inside her pocket walking out of the visitation room toward the main and down the corridor to the front entrance of the correction complex. She looked back venturing out through the security gate.
She walked ove to her Mazda Miata climbed and in closing the door behid her. Driving out of Allenwood she knew something wasn't right? She didn't know how powerful these forces were that were trying to stop her? But she wasn't going to let them stop her from finding out the intel that she needed.
It was getting late but Nidka needed to get the Airport in Williamsport to caught flight to St Petersburg she sped down the road looking back to see if she had a tail on her? Not a car in sight.
Agent Nandika Charles had flown, on a direct flight arriving at night at the Pulkovo Airport. After that she had walked across terminal taking the escalator down to the customs area. This hour of the night was still some people coming and going.
The line up to the customs booth was long but moving quickly. Nidika kept glancing back she thought? She couldn't see anyone.
Nandika ventured over to the customs booth, the officer looked up seeing her and motioned her to hand over her passport. She did so while she thought about what she was going to find at the orphan home. The officer handed her back the passport before saying.
"Pleasure or business Miss Charles."
" Business,," Nandika remarked.
She walked over to the rental counter that clerk was, the clerk looked up from what he was doing. He looked around. Nandika wondered why the clerk was looking around for? Was he nervous about something?
"What can I help you Miss?"The clerk asked her.
"Yes I would like to rent your vehicles please," Nandika stated.
"What kind of vehicle do you rent want Miss," The clerk asked.
"I would like to rent the Honda HRV please," Nandka stated.
The clerk strolled into the back room, grabbing the keys then closed the door behind walking out slowly over to the counter and handed her the keys. Nandika grabbed the keys from him strolling out into the rental parking lot and went over to the Honda HRV.
Unlocking the door, she stepped in and then closed the door. She backed out of the parking and headed down The narrow street passing by old imperial buildings. She turned more streets and some blocks before she pulled to the orphan home.
The orphan home was large, with cracked cobblestone sidewalk leading up to the front entrance. There was some grass but not a lot. Nandika grabbed the door, as she climbed closing the door behind her. Walking up the sidewalk she quickly withdrew her suppressed Sig. She wasn't going to take any chances of getting killed.
She took one last look around the neighborhood surroundings, before knocking on the door. There weren't a lot of people around she noticed. She couldn't hear anyone coming so with her other free hand She pushed the door open then gripped the suppressed in both of her hands, making her way down the corridor she felt a chill ran down her back.
The inside looked abandoned like it had been used in years, her instincts hardwired sharp warning her that something wasn't right here. Strolling over to the office where she knew the files would be kept. The door was ajar.
She entered looking around and saw the file cabinet. Nandika pulled the file cabinet gently. But before she could pull out the file a shadowy figure approached black balaclava covering his face and the Ruger.22 Amphibian clutched in his grip. His finger rested on the trigger.
"Drop the file or I'll put a round into you right here," The assassin snarled in a rough Russian accent.
" I'm just here to check some record," Nidika replied.
The assassin pulled the trigger on his semi-automatic pistol, the bullet flew out almost hitting his prey but smashing the file cabinet instead. Nidia pivoted quickly leveling her Sig and And fired two shots toward the assassin hitting on his shoulder. The assassin quickly snatched the file from the desk sprinting down the corridor and out of the door.
Nandika sprinted flat out with her Sig Saucer clutched in her grip. She quickly spotted the assassin climbing onto a motorbike behind a biker wearing a helmet. Shit, she thought now she knew that she was something big. This was the second time that they had to kill her.
