ch. 15- and so it begins...

"The preliminaries of the Festival will be an Obstacle Race 4 kilometers around the stadium. The race immediately begins and all the participants struggle to exit through the stadium door." Midnight explains. We are all led into a stadium door and we are packed it stinks. suddenly the doors open and we all race out. I use my wings to fly over everyone and we all gasp at what we see. Todoroki freezes the players on the ground and most are stuck and Baku and Todoroki start running. I use my wings to fly after them. I look behind me and some of the students who dodged the ice attack, are working together to stop the bots. Because of my soar wings, I can't go as fast as I need to gain the lead. I pretty much soar over everything and then I look below to see Baku fly over a ropes course and Todoroki uses his ice to glide over it. I push my wings to catch up with them and I realize that if I fly low enough I can take some of their energy. I fly low to their faces and I have to dodge their attacks and I summon Light and Dark who takes some of their energy, but more so on Baku's side for his energy of madness is super high honestly! they then have a bombing course and Baku and Todoroki carefully go along with it and the students catch up with them. I am a little further ahead until I hear a big explosion and I see Deku fly over us in amazement. I try to fly faster but he kicks us all down and explodes first. I am the first back up but my wing is damaged and broken. "SHIT MY WINGS!" I course as I get up and start running after him. I use Light to use the energy she gained to heal my wing and as Deku finishes first I smile, knowing he maid his mentor proud and I get in first. Baku is third and Todoroki is fourth. as we see the other's cross the finishing line, Midnight starts to explain the next course, "After announcing the standings, moves the Festival on to the second event: The. The top forty-two qualifiers form teams from two to four people in order to earn points by stealing headbands from other teams. A team's point value is based on the value of its individual members. The members of the team receive point value based on their placement in the obstacle race. Izuku, who is the first place, is worth ten million points which makes him a target for the other contestants making that if someone was to only take him down that they would win. " Everyone Looks at Deku and I hear him gulp. everyone starts getting into teams. I go straight to Deku, knowing that my quirks could be useful and that with his smarts and my quirks we might win with just the two of us! although that is highly doubtful. "Deku," I call out and he turns to look at me, "I want your points and you need my multiple quirks. Let's join up, plus I think we as friends make a great team!" He nods his head and smiles. "Uraraka?" I ask as I see her walk up to us. "Us friends need to stick together and make a team!" She says with a smile. " We need someone else..." Deku mutters and then runs to Tokoyami. Of course, I could make the dark and protect him from the dark. I smile proudly as he agrees to join. " I should be on top, If I switch forms or use my wings I'd need the space," I explain to them. "Ok," Deku says, " Than let's have Deku in the bottom right, Urarka in the bottom left, and Tokoyami in the front." We all agree and we get into formation. I fold my wings and we get ready. I am wearing the ten million points banner." I am determined to win, no matter what" I say to my teammates and my blind eyes flash from black to white. Right now I'm using Light to see. The Fifteen minutes are over and we are about to begin. "Urarka when I said now, I want you to touch all of us and I will make us fly. Can you handle multiple people?" I ask her and she nods, " Not for very long though." she responds and I nod. " Just enough as an escape plan." " Tokoyami, when I black everything out for another escape plan I'm going to use Light to let our team see and I want you to grab as many banners as possible. That way if people do steal the banner we have extras so we don't go to the last place. You will also be our main attack." I explain and he nods. I am about to tell them that they can use my quirk by singing but I decided only for an emergency. The round begins with a bang and all of them turn to race after us. "Uraraka, get ready, wait... " I say and wait until they are almost on us, "NOW!" She touches us and I use my wings to beat us in the air. All of them crash into each other and a few other groups take headbands as if that was their plan all along. " I can't for much longer!" Uraraka tells me and I nod, " Almost there!" I tell her and she nods. I carefully set us down in the opposite side of the battlefield. I see the others fighting and I see my team take a breather. " Relax but one of them is ought to go after us soon." I tell them and they keep their head up. "Deku can you use one of your fingers to flick the other team away if they come near us? I know it will hurt" I tell him but he interrupts me, " yeah. I can do that at least." he tells me trying to be as use full as he can. " Just imagine the egg not exploding!" I say and they all stare at me. "Deku said that before hiring the Numu and he didn't break his arm. It probably hurts his arm if he puts too much power into one part of the body. Like too much force on a small area but in a big area then it won't break like eggs." I explain and Deku smiles and nods at me. I look up just in time to see Shoto running after us. " I will get that banner!" Shoto yells at us. I use Light and Dark to blackout everything and use Light to make sure my team can see. They are close enough to not see anything. We stay silent and then I see Todoroki block off everything with his ice. " If I can't see you then your not going to escape!" "Uraraka can you fly us again?" I ask her hopefully and she shakes her head. " I could do a big jump but I can't fly like that again for a bit. I nod, " than when I say do a big jump." I then see a block of big ice coming my way," Now!" I scream and I fly into the air just missing the ice. My blackout still works on everything around me and thankfully they are close. Uraka stops using her powers and we fall a bit but I transform into my demon form who has bigger wings and we glide to the ground father away from Todoroki. I look behind me to see Baku and his team looking at me before fighting a 1-B team. I panic and decide that I need to run. I then notice dark shadow grow bigger in the dark. "Can you sneak and get their banner if I get you close? Hopefully, they will change strategies." I ask him and he nods. We then run toward him, doge an ice attack and instead of blacking it out I use Light to make them blind but Todoroki is closing his eyes. He turns his head following us and he grabs my banner as I walk by! I then use Dark to grab the headband back as he puts it on. I got both of the banners. " he isn't using fire, stay on his left side but they have Pikachu with him so that is dangerous for dark shadow." Deku explains to us and I smile for his smarts, "If we trick him using too much than he turns dumb." I could use Light and Dark to make a really mean monster and scare him?" I suggest and I laugh. I then see Deku use his finger to block Todoroki's ice wall coming at us, I turn around and duck but another teammate got our banners as I grab one of theirs. I look to see they got the original banners. "T-they won..." I whisper in defeat. I then see that I got a one hundred banner and that dark shadow got a seven hundred banner. We got enough to take third place with Baku's team in the second! "We did amazing. You guys couldn't have known when recruiting me that although dark shadow gets stronger in the darkness it's harder to control him and weekend in the light and is easier to control. So I say we did a good job." Tokoyami says and I smile at him as they help me get down. We all get out of the middle to go find our seats, for some are out and the others have a break till they get the stage ready for the one on one fights. I walk with Deku and Todoroki pulls Deku aside. Probably for a good luck kiss I think and laugh. But I know Todoroki better, and I follow them. "we should probably get some lunch before its too late.." Deku tells him and with shoots cold stare he doesn't reply. "Your power from the cavalry battle is the same as All MIght's powers," Todoroki finally says and Deku's face goes a bit pale, "Are you All MIght's secret love child?" "Ah! No no no I'm not his secret love child, he isn't even married!" Deku tries to explain but Todoroki knows something is going on. "But you two obviously have a connection. And I am the son of Endeavor, which gives me more the reason to beat you." He sighs and takes a deep breath, " Endeavor is obsessed with defeating All Might. My father bought out my mother to make an arranged marriage so that Their children would become powerful. My father only created me so that I could surpass All Might, and the only memories I have of my mother is her crying. The reason for my scar is that my mother poured boiling hot water on my face and calls my left side unbearable because of my father's fire. I want to show my father that I can win without using his side!" He walks out but Deku stops him saying, " I know compared to you my excuse seems lame, but I'm not letting you win! I will do my very best to defeat you as well!" I look behind them and see that I wasn't the only one eavesdropping, Baku as listening to their conversation too. After lunch, we go to the middle along with the other participants. I look to my left to see the paid U.A cheerleaders, but on the right, I see the 1A class in cheerleader outfits. Before starting I see Marshirao withdrawing from the competition, "I was used as a puppet by Shinso, so I don't feel right to be here. I don't want to be here not knowing what I even did to get here. I see another boy yelling out, " I want to too. I don't deserve it!" Midnight, " such chivalry! I will allow it, and I will give it to the Fifth place team Kendo than." she says but the fifth-place team had other ideas. Kendo than says, " I don't think we should get it either, we age up and we should really give it to the team Tetsutetsu because they fought harder than anyone and didn't give up." With everyone shocked the places were set for the first bracket.
