ch. 16- It's your power, and .......

I feel movement and I open my eyes to see Deku move, my shoulder was resting on his shoulder, and I open my eyes. " Sorry about that, but I have to face off against Todoroki now." He tells me and bows. I nod and I yawn, " I'll join you and watch." I stand up but only to see Baku and Uraraka fighting. I see him blow around her just to keep her away and she keeps low to the ground. Smoke is filled around them and I see her run towards him, Baku blasts at her, and repeat. I follow Deku and when we finally get there I see her pant and standstill. " Thanks for keeping your attention on me!" She yells and she puts her hands together. Only do I now, and most of the crowd I assume, realize that she was using Baku do damage to the ground and make weapons. She releases them and sprints towards Baku. He looks panicked and he turns his hand up towards the sky and yells out, and sends a huge blast and it knocks Urarka back even. It destroyed all the blocks, which filled the stadium's sky. I gasp and I see Uraraka crawl towards him not giving up until she faints. Midnight announces Bakugou the winner and Uraraka is sent through a stretcher. "They're going to take a while to restore and get ready for your match. Want to congratulate Baku?" I ask him and turn to walk the other way. " Sure I have time." He responds and follows me upstairs. We meet Uraka and she wishes Deku good luck. WE wave off to her and look for Baku. We follow the hallway until I stop him and hide behind a corner of the wall. Endeavor is there. Deku doesn't catch my drift and walks past me. I then see Shoto behind me and I wave him over. "Wa-" He starts but I put my finger to my lips. "Your quirk is very similar to All nights." Endeavor says but Deku tries to walk away, feeling uncomfortable, " Look, fight hard to beat Shoto ok?" Deku balls up his fists and spits out, " I am not and never going to be close to All MIght. And Shoto is NOT you!" He then walks away and Endeavors leaves as well. I walk up towards Deku when I'm slammed into the opposite wall. I groan and see Shoto about to help but I shake my head no. I then look to see Deku to my right and I see Shoto motion over to Deku to keep him from getting in the way. " You bitch! You weren't supposed to go to the crowd but use your other form's energy to heal yourself Slut!" He yells at me and reaches to grab my hair but realizes he already burnt it off. " How ugly to you feel without your pretty hair?" He tells me trying to sound angry again. I laugh a bit and he punches me in the nose. "What's so funny?" He yells at me and shoves my head into the wall, "I find everything funny when you want to die." I tell him and laugh sounding crazy. " So the little slut went crazy on me again?" He asks me and punches me in the gut. "But I'll leave you to suffer, you don't deserve pain to make you feel alive." He yells and laughs walking off. After him disappearing, Todoroki and Deku run to me. I then see in the corner of my eye Baku who is at the door where Deku came out of beforehand. " You three need to keep quiet until the time is right," I tell them and Deku looks confused. " T-three?" He stutters and I nod towards Baku who walks towards me. "Why won't you send his ass to jail? He asks me angered. " Because I want to beat him first. I want to see his face when I beat him, make him tell the truth, and then send that bastard to jail. But we have to wait until its all over." I explain and Deku nods. " Is that why you can't use your fire?" Deku asks me, " I mean demons do have hellfire yes?" I nod sadly, " I don't use my fire the same reason why Todoroki doesn't kinda." I respond vaguely. " Because you want to prove that you can do it without my father's fire?" He asks and I shake my head no. " Because it's my father's Hell Fire and he guesses it all the time to burn and torture me. I won't use his fire for that reason and because I'm scared too. I reject my fire and whenever I use it I'm afraid of hurting someone like when my father hurts me." I explain sobbing. I widen my eyes, " Crying is for the weak anyway." I wipe my tears away and stand up, face stone cold. I bow, "Thank you for your time." I say and I run downstairs. I think I found a new nickname. Icy cold face, but a warm heart which is why Icy warm fits him. Anyway, I see them both run after me and I see them both enter the ring. I take a deep breath, this is a win-win situation and a lose-lose as well. I want both of them to do well. I lean against the wall. As it begins Icy warm sends a huge Ice attack but Deku snaps his fingers, breaking a finger in the process, and counter-attacks it with a 'Delaware smash' as he calls it. I mean he can't hold back because he doesn't know how big another attack will be. Icy warm send another attack and Deku breaks another one of his fingers doing another smash. At this rate with his fingers, he only has six more chances to find Shoto's weakness to beat him, and it looks like time is running out for him. I look up to see my class 1A. I summon Dark to spy on them and I see Eijiro come back from fighting his opponent. " You know Katsuki, you and Shoto have quirks to blow the whole stadium!" He comments laughing and sitting down. Baku sighs, " Quirks are physical abilities and can be worn out just like anything else. That's why I designed my costume so I can go past my limit." They stop talking and Dark returns to my mind. I then watch Deku and Icy warm keeps fighting. I watch in horror as all of Deku's fingers but one is broken, and Icy warm sends another wave of ice, and Deku uses his mouth to break his last finger. He's out of time! Icy warm sends up an ice tower between the two and Deku uses smash to break the ice steps apart and Icy warm dogs. He also sends some ice Deku's way but Deku barely manages not to get frozen but his left arm is frozen! He sacrifices his whole left-hand does a powerful smash! The smash blows wind so hard against Icy warm and he uses an ice block to stand his ground. I see Icy warm's eyes hidden. I notice that the attack was more powerful than the others and that Deku is probably keeping Icy warm at a distance. Deku eyes widen at his combat awareness, usually, its strength and not smarts or the other way around but Icy warm right now has it all, right now! I bet with time even Deku will pass Icy warm. I look up to see some viewers comment on Icy warm, "Shoto is already stronger than the average hero!" I look to see Icy warm stare at Deku's fingers and left arm. " Are you too worn out to continue and block my attacks?" Icy warm asks but Deku doesn't respond and catches his breath. I see Deku look and stare at his right arm, Icy warm was shaking and his right arm was frosting over a bit. " Thank you for helping me irrate my father by only using my ice." Icy warm tells Deku. Knowing that he has no fingers left to break he sends an ice attack once again and I'm sure Icy warm is going to win right there. " I'm not finished yet!" Deku screams and I watch in amazement as he uses his already broken finger to break his ice attack. " Why are you going so far! Can't you see you're at your limit?" Icy warm yells at him confused. "Look.." Deku says pointing to his right arm, " Your body can only take so much coldness because Quirks are physical abilities! But you can offset your temperature by using your fire.. USE YOUR FIRE SHOTO, I WANT YOU TO USE YOUR FULL STRENGTH!" Deku yells and startles the crowd, "he warm was only using half his power?" I hear some whispering and I laugh. Those are my boys. " I may be damaged right now, but you haven't even laid a stretch on me yet! Use your full strength!" Deku yells at him. Icy warm runs towards Deku, but he isn't as fast as he could be probably using too much energy on his attacks, and as he lifts his right foot to attack, Deku uses a smash to blow him away. Icy warm uses his ice to recover and tries to use an ice attack but it's much slower and Deku avoids it. They both move closer and fight despite their injuries to their body. Cementoss yells at midnight to stop the battle because Deku is fighting recklessly and injuring himself knowing recovery girl will heal him. " No.." Icy warm tells them and points towards Deku, " He is just doing everything he can to win with his quirk's skill level." Deku rushes towards Icy warm and he doesn't have another finger to snap his finger so he uses his mouth to blow Icy warm away. Icy warm uses his quirk to keep him in the ring. "Why are you going threw so much pain!" Icy warm asks him yelling. " I'm prepared to do anything to become a hero!" Deku screams back. Deku head butts Icy warm and Icy warm stumbles back and regains his balance ready to fight. " Use your full strength! Stop messing around because even if you want to reject your father you don't have the right to be the best if you're not prepared to do your best!" Deku yells challenging him. I see Icy warm stand in place shocked and close his eyes as I see more frost on his arm. I think back to where Icy warm explained his past to Deku and I bet his mother wasn't the only one to hurt him physically. Deku surprises me as he uses his power for another smash, " I will surpass you!" Deku screams. Icy warm uses his icy to catch himself again and I see his face close his eyes and his fists clenched. Bring up his father must bring terrible memories, poor Icy warm. "I will... reject my father!" Icy warm yells to Deku once again. "But Shoto it's your quirk not your fathers!" He yells and Icy warm is probably now going threw another memory and Deku turns to me, "As the same to you Evelyn! You can use the fire to do good if that's what you're afraid of and you need to finally accept that your hellfire is apart of you!" I fall down on my knees with tears in my eyes, " But what if I make a mistake!" I yell out and I see some people look at me and I hold my head with my hands. " Thank you make mistakes and we fix them together!" Deku screams back and returns to the fight. I then see Icy warm use his left side and make big blasts of fire from his arm. I then realize through my tears that my Deku wasn't trying to provoke or challenge Icy warm, but release him to use his fire freely while helping me with my fire. Icy warm and I wasn't just rejecting a part of our quirk and fire, but also a part of ourselves. " See? Your power is amazing!" Deku yells out smiling and I think its contagious, for Icy warm smiles back I find myself smiling as well.  I then see Endeavor walk close to the match himself. "Yas! Ha, use your fire!" He shouts proudly, " Use it and surpass me and everyone! Live up to the reason you were born!" I then look back at Icy warm, " Why are you smiling so much at a hopeless spot for you?" He asks him getting a little closer, " Please don't blame me for what happens next." He then uses his fire and ice and brings back to form a very powerful blast. I see Deku prepare to use his right arm for a final clash and smash. I look in horror, " they will kill each other!" I scream scared. Fearing the worst Cementoss steps in and makes huge Cement walls between them to block it and stop the match. Even with the walls combined with Deku's air pressure and Icy warm's fire and ice, it destroyers the entire fighting area. I see everyone's disbelieving faces at the sudden damage. " You both are very talented, you should be proud." Cementoss tells them. " What could have caused that explosion?" Present Mic asks and Icy warm looks up. " It was because of the rapid change in temperature in the air." AS the smoke clears we see Deku outside of the ring unconscious. Midnight stares in shock but then recovers, "Shoto is the winner!" she yells out and the crowd applauds for him. I see Endeavor coming beside by at the corridor and I then watch as Icy warm walks past him and turns around. " You could become my sidekick after graduation! Good job Shoto." Endeavor praises him and I roll my eyes. " I don't need you, and I still hate you. The only reason why I used my left side is that I completely forgot about you during that moment." He tells him coldly and walks away, I quickly follow him. " I'm still unsure about my fire, but I may not need him at all." Icy warm tell me or at least says out loud. I put a hand on his shoulder, as am I with my hellfire." I inform him and his my other hand to form a small fire, it doesn't burn me this time, " But we will do what we can with it and do our best no matter what!" Icy warm and I go to recovery girl to see Deku, we see his other friends there already in a conversation. " They postponed the match with Todoroki and Evelyn so they can repair the arena." I hear Idea say in his dual robotic voice. We walk in, " Glad to see your ok... And Deku, thanks form both of us. I now understand its a part of me and I can't reject it. And that it is my own power and not my father's." I explain and I see Deku smiling. " Alight you all have to leave for surgery." Recoery girl says, worrying me, but I know he will be alright. We all leave and I walk with Icy warm to the corridor, waiting to start the match. We stand in silence until I decide to break it. " Icy warm?" I ask him fiddling with my thumbs. "Wait what?" he asks and my face turns red. " Well your face is usually icy cold but you have a warm heart when you look closer so Icy warm!" I explain flustered. "Oh ok, need somthing?" He asks again and I nod. " I wish to battle My father instead. If I win he will tell the truth but I'll have to see what he wants. Afterwards we can battle if you want." I tell him and he nods, " It's the only way the abuse will stop isn't it?" He questions and I nod. We wait in silence and I scan the crowd for my father. I find him to my left at the bottom, knowing I'm next he probably wants to yell at me before I go. I take a deep breath and wish Icy warm good luck. " We can begin the match now." midnight calls out and Icy warm pats my shoulder. I smile and walk out. I see Icy warm go up to midnight but I instead go to my father. I use my wings to go into the stands. "What do you think your doing?" He snares at me and I take a deep breath. " I wish to challenge you, right here right now." I tell him staring him right into the eye, " If I win you tell everyone the truth and I show them. What do you want if you win?" He smiles and walks closer to me and whispers, " I want you to be emotionless again, and do everything I say with no complaints, lose your friends and only talk to your teacher or unless forced." He tells me and I shiver. I nod and hold my hand out, " May the best win, 'father'," I tell him with a smile. The real battle has just begun.
