Chapter 2

"Ingat kayong dal'wa." Lea bid her goodbye to Dawn and Majori. They have to go home because it's Valentine's Day and their husbands are waiting for them for a date.

Lea hugged Dawn, "baka naman pagbalik namin sa Maynila may inaanak na 'ko?" She whispered.

"Sana. Charot!"

"Enzo, you take care of them, okay?" He nodded. "Be a good boy." Marj gave Lorenzo a hug before entering the car.

"May naiinggit ata sa dal'wa." Vice intended to say it louder because Lea's still at the kitchen preparing their lunch.

"It's not me, ah." Lorenzo already knew to whom Vice is referring to.

"Ako rin, tutal wala naman akong jowa." Gabbi said and winked at her uncle.

"Hindi rin naman ako kasi masaya buhay kong single. Sino kaya?" Vice asked while preparing the dining table.

"Alangan naman na ako? Wala naman akong asawa." They all turned around when they heard her voice.

"Gusto rin." Vice grinned which caused Lea to make face. "Vaklang 'to! Pakipot pa." He added and rolled his eyes.

"Kapal mo." Lea then sat on her seat.

"Let's pray."

After Gabbi lead the prayer, they started pigging out. Lea cooked bulalo as they wished.

Lorenzo complimented, "sarap mo pa rin talaga magluto, tita."

"Mas masarap siya." Vice teased and poked Lea's arm.

"Natikman mo na ba 'ko?" She bit her lip while looking at him.

"Patikim nga?" He would not let her win this game.

"Bunganga mo, Vice! Anyway, you look so nakakagigil when you make that face."

The area was full of laughter and story telling. Lorenzo looks really comfortable with them, he was also sharing stories about his school and family.

"Ako na maghuhugas ng mga plato, just enjoy the rest of the day, bukas ng umaga uuwi na tayo." Lea insisted. They helped her bring the dishes to the sink.

Vice stayed beside Lea while the two readied their favorite video game.

"Are you here to remind me of my past?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Hindi kaya. Baliw ka ba?"

"Nasanay kasi ako na palagi mong pinapaalala sa'kin ang nakaraan lalo na kapag dal'wa na lang tayo. Napaka mo talaga."

"Baka ikaw ang gustong makaalala? Gusto mo pa ba s'ya?"

"Shut up! I'm over him for crying out loud."

They both chuckled when they realized that they are acting like kids again.

"Itutuloy mo ba yung napag-usapan natin kagabi?"

"Yeah?" She answered hesitantly.

"Maiintindihan ka ni Gabbi, sa talino ba naman ng anak mo."

"Maybe you're right. Sana, sana maintindihan niya talaga kung bakit inabot ako ng napakaraming taon bago ko masabi sa kanya."

"Are you ready?" He became very serious while tucking Lea's hair at the back of her ear.

"I'm nervous for Pete's sake!" She exclaimed. "But what else can I do? Kailangan na niyang malaman ang lahat. If she gets mad at me for hiding from her the truth, then so be it."

"Ma?" Gabbi came which surprised them.

"Yes, anak? Kanina ka pa ba d'yan?" I hope not. She thought.
