It's a Love Story

Chapter Seven

I struggled in the arms of my captor, until I heard a slight giggle.

"Deeks!!" I whispered, shoving him away.

He laughed and pulled me in for a kiss. I kissed him back of course, but I was still completely terrified.

"You scared me! That was not funny!" I saw pouty and crossing my arms.

"I'm sorry, Kensalina. I was just trying to have fun." He said pulling me in for a hug.

We embraced each other for a while, until I broke away to speak.

"I don't think this is going to be alright with my father, Deeks. I can't--" I was cut off by the smooth silk feeling of his lips.

"I know you care for your family, Kensalina. But you have to think for yourself! It's not always about what your father wants!! You and I can start a family of our own!!"

I laughed at the thought of little Deeks running around.

(Inside) "Kensalina??" I heard the Prince yell.

"I have to go, Deeks. You'll be banished if they find you at this hour. Go!!" I coo.

"You have one week to decided, Kensalina. Me, or your father."

"Kensalina!?" I turned towards the Prince coming out of the front doors.

"Quick Dee-" as I turned around I noticed Deeks was no longer standing in front of me. He was nowhere to be seen.

"Kensalina! There you are! You scared us all to death! Are you alright?" Callen said as be placed his jacket over my bare shoulders.

I hadn't noticed the tears flowing down my face until Callen wiped one away.

"We thought you ran off after the engagement was called off. After we thought you ran away with that knight." He laughed.

I looked off into the distance, wondering if Deeks was hiding in the bushes, hearing ever word that escaped the Princes mouth.

"I love him, Callen. And you know that." I look at him with sad eyes and push by him, walking back towards the castle.

"You scared us to death, Kensalina! I'm just glad you didn't run away with that incapable mut, Callen hired as a knight.

"How dare you call Deeks such a thing!! You should be ashamed of yourself!!" I yell at my father.

He laughed and pulled me in for a hug.

"You made the right choice, Kensalina. I'm proud of you." He kissed me on both cheeks and I was dismissed.

I walked down the long hallway and exited through the huge wooden doors.

"Nobody understands me!! URG!!" I say, frustration lingering on every word.

I make my way back to my chambers and throw myself on my bed, and scream into a pillow. I calm down, and glance out the window. Deeks was fighting Lancealot. There was no clear winner yet, but I knew in my heart who was going to win.

I began to re read my book in the library, when I heard the castle bell ring. This bell was one that indicated visitors had arrived through the front gate.

I placed my books back in the shelf and walked towards the entrance. My heels clipped along the hardwood floors. I reached the front door and saw a very good looking man hop off a horse.

"Ah! Kensalina! I'm glad you decided to come out of your chambers!" My father said as he helped my down the stairs.

"This is Prince Arthur. Your fiancé. He said with a huge smile. I was too awed to hear him mention fiancé.

He took my hand and bowed, placing a gentle kiss on my hand.

I curtsied and I could feel my cheeks burning up. Prince Arthur had blue eyes and blonde hair, and his body was amazing. He reminded me of Deeks.

"Deeks?" I'm snapped out of space as I hear my lovers name.

"Arthur?" I hear Deeks respond.

"What is going on here?" Father asked.

Arthur pulled my arm into his, and stood proud. Almost like he was a peacock showing off his feathers, only difference was I'm his feathers.

"Deeks? What's going on?" I say trying to shake off Arthur's arm.

"Your fiancé here, is my brother, Prince Arthur of England."
