more than a glimpse

Time lapse: 2 days later

Today was the day of the art exhibit, exciting for Blue but nerve wracking for Mal, it was her first ever art exhibit that she went to and she had to present her own painting. Now isn't this exciting.

"Mommy are we there yet?" Blue asked for the 5th time, mal thought her daughter was more excited than her

When they arrived at the museum where the exhibit will be held mal took a deep breath and went inside

"Ms. Moors" mal was greeted by Isaac Tuazon, a famous artist that invited mal to the exhibit

"Mr. Tuazon I see you already having fun" mal smiled as Isaac laughed

"Hello little cutie" Isaac said as she noticed Blue

"So, who's with you?" mal asked the artist as she noticed that his arms were wrapped around a beautiful woman

"Oh mal I would like to introduce to you my wife, Meredith. Meredith this is mal the woman I was talking about" Meredith smiled as she shaked mal's hands

"It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Mal Moors I saw your painting awhile ago, it was a perfectly beautiful" Meredith compliments as Mal just smiled, she hated meeting new people but for the sake of the exhibit she had to.

"Ladies and gentlemen we will start the exhibit in 10 minutes" The host announced grabbing everyone's attention

As the exhibit started everyone was being toured by the host to one painting from another while artist give a little background about the painting, Mal was the second one 2 go and she knew she did a great job. Mal, was all distracted by everyone's complement about her painting ad speech that she didn't even noticed her daughter had already left her side.

Blue on the other hand was heading to the ice cream shop nearby the museum and was about to cross the streets but a car was heading her way but luckily she was pulled before she got hit by the car, mal then realized that her daughter was not by her side she groaned and excused herself before running out of the museum where she saw the whole thing

"Are you okay?" asked the woman as she helped Blue get up, the little girl was about to answer but then mal came

"Blue, are you okay? does anything hurt?" mal ran to her daughter checking her

"I'm okay miss hero saved me" her daughter's sweet voice reassured as mal pulled her into a hug before looking at the person who save her

Mal couldn't believe what she was seeing, it was Evie, her Evie she's alive and all perfectly perfect even after so many years

"Evie" mal whispered in disbelief

"Sorry, you okay?" the woman who looked like Evie said  "I'm Ava by the way, Ava Perez" she introduced as she extend her hand

Mal snapped out of her thought as she shake Ava's hands, and everything clicked to her,her dreams made so much sense now...... This woman she was talking to was Evie, and it was her mission to bring her home with her

"I'm Mallory, Mallory Moors" mal introduced herself as Ava smiled

"I know I saw you earlier at the museum, you were one of the presentors, I love your painting by the way" Ava giggled as mal nodded

"Thanks, glad you liked it" mal wasn't going to lie she was panicking but she kept it cool

"Uhmm anyways I have to go, but it was nice meeting you Mallory" ava said as she left leaving Mal stunned

"Mommy sorry I ran off" mal turned to her daughter sighing

"It's fine, next time don't do it again okay?" Blue nodded as she hugged her mother going back to the museum
