The next morning i was awakened by Chay and Kay Kay jumping in the bed.

"Uncle Aug wake up! Wake uuuup!" They both said with Kay as usual being the loudest.

I looked to my left as I sat up to see Miss had already got up.

"I'm up, I'm up!" I said through yawns while stretching. "Now what do y'all want?" I asked looking at them.

"TeTe Missy promised that y'all would take us to school today" Chay said with sass as she jerked her neck. "Mmmhmmm" Kay added on with a smirk on her face and her arms folded. These girls are something else they growing up on me!

I looked between both of them with furrowed eyebrows.
I really didn't feel like getting out of bed right now. I was at a place where I could lay my head and not worry about a nigxa trynna kill me or break in, I was comfortable and it's been years since i got sleep this good.

"Please uncle Aug you promised!" Kay said reminding me of something that I didn't say at all. I couldn't say no to them no matter what especially since I see Melvin in all of them.

"Alright, alright! Get up and get out. Go back upstairs tell Missy to come here too. I'll be up in a min!" I said pointing towards the room door.

"Thanks uncle Aug. I love you so much! You always been my favorite Kay mocked in her baby voice as she wrapped her little arms around my neck. I laughed after she left out of the room as I thought about what she just said. Lol (too much jamie foxx for her) i thought to myself.

I showered and got dressed. When I made it upstairs the girls were on their way out the door.

"Hey baby goodmorning" missy said greeting me with a quick kiss.

"Wassup Ma!?"

"Nothing here is your bacon and egg sandwich on toasted bread with melted cheese and your orange juice. Eat up we've got fifteen minutes to get the girls to school on time. We'll be waiting in the car" she said as she rushed out the door.

I ate half my breakfast drank some orange juice and made my way to the car.

The girls sung along to Mary J. Blige song(be without you) along with Missy as I drove them to school.

"Y'all don't need to be singing this song, y'all too young to know about this!" I said turning the radio down.

"Yes we do" Kay responded.

"Yea mommy use to sing this song to daddy. Now every time she hear it she sings it loud with us." Noonie said.

"Awwww that's so sweet" Miss added on looking at them.

"Yea but then she cries afterwards because she Misses daddy" Chay said.

"Does she cry a lot?" I asked looking at all of them in the rear view mirror. Noonie had gotten quiet and just looked out of the window. I knew out of the three that she was the only one who actually understood that her daddy was gone forever.

"I don't know uncle Aug she sends us to play in our room when she's sad." Chay added.

"Do you cry about daddy?" Noon asked still looking out of the window.I couldn't get my words out,I choked up. Missy grabbed my hand glancing at me.

"Guess what girls?" She turned facing them.

"What?" Kay asked excited

"Me and uncle Aug will have a surprise for you when you get out of school today."

"Yaaaay!" Chay said as she cheered with Noon and Kay" the smiles on their faces said a lot. Missy knew when to save me, She always knows when to save me...
