"How long has she been like this?" I questioned, as I glanced over at Hayden. "She looks really sick today, Hayds."

Hayden sadly smiled at me, "A few days," He answered slowly, "The doctors said that she may not.... wake up."

A loud gasp left my mouth as Hayden said that his grandmother may never wake up. I knew that she was sick, but specifically today she looked very ill. Worst than usual.

As much as it broke my heart for Hayden, it was safe to say that Gemma was now on her deathbed.

I quickly wrapped my hands around Hayden. "I'm so sorry, Hayden," I said quickly, looking up at him to see tears running down his cheeks.

Hayden nodded his head. "I don't know what I'll do without her. My parents already started planning the funeral."

I slowly wiped away the tears that were falling down Hayden's cheeks. "I know I'm not the same person as your grandmother, because you've known her since you were born, but I'll always be here for you no matter what. I'm here. You don't have to be scared of anything." I softly smiled, "Your grandmother has had a beautiful life, and I know that she wouldn't want you to be sad. I'm sure of it."

Hayden suddenly looked a lot happier, and I was glad that my words had such an effect. "Thank you, Khloe. Anytime I'm with you, you know how to make me feel better."

I blushed, just as Lisa suddenly walked into the room.

"Thank you again for being here, Khloe." Lisa smiled at me gently, as she opened her arms for a hug.

"Of course." I nodded my head. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." A small smile grew onto my lips.

Lisa smiled back at me. "Yes, she should be..." Lisa paused for a second and my smile quickly turned into a frown. "She should be passing any day now. It's such a shame. I'm sure she would've loved to get to know you better."

"I would have loved to learn more about her as well."

It made me very upset to see Hayden and his family in so much pain, but I didn't exactly know what else to do other than to be there for Hayden.

Lisa nodded her head, and then her eyes drifted towards Hayden. "Okay, so your father and I are going to get going now. Where are you two headed? Are you coming back home, Hayden?"

Suddenly an idea popped in my head and I giggled. "I'm going to take Hayden somewhere," I announced and Hayden raised an eyebrow but I ignored his suspicion. "It was very lovely to see you, Lisa. I'm so sorry about your mother."

"Okay," Lisa smiled. "Thank you so much, Khloe, you're such a beautiful girl. And you two have fun, but not too much."

"Okay, mom." Hayden rolled his eyes and I couldn't help but giggle. "I'll see you at home later."
