"Bruh moment." Dave said, laughing along with his friends. Zak stood in the corner and continued to make a sketch of Dave. He loved drawing. Drawing was one of the things that comforted him when no one else would. 

But most importantly, he wanted to give it to Dave when Valentine's Day came. He drew every detail he could see and tried to get all the colors right as well. He wanted to make this special. Because Dave was special to him. So special. 

Zak continued to stare at Dave, then Dave noticed of course. Dave smiled nervously at Zak, considering that Zak was his crush. Zak blushed and looked back at his sketch, trying to avoid eye contact at all costs. 

Dave excused himself and went to Zak. 

"Hey nerd." Dave said, Zak looked at him then looked away quickly. Dave sat down next to him. 

"Hey idiot. Why are you here?" Zak asked, Dave rolled his eyes and pointed to the sketch pad. 

"What are you drawing?" Dave asked, Zak closed the sketch pad and blushed. 

"None of your business." Zak answered, Dave grinned and then looked at his friends. 

"Well, I'm going to my friends." Dave said, getting up. "Are you going to be here on Valentine's Day?" 

"Yeah, I won't miss it." Zak said, "Why?" 

"Well I wanted to meet you at the bathrooms near our homeroom." Dave said nervously, he never felt this way about anyone. He originally planned to keep it that way, but he couldn't help feeling this way towards the shorter male. 

"Sounds like a threat." Zak said, raising his eyebrows in concern. He felt like he was going to get jumped. 

"Of course it is." Dave said sarcastically, Zak giggled and got up with Dave. They would have to go to their next class soon, so Dave had to make this quick. 

"But yeah. Meet me there early in the morning on Valentine's Day. It'll just be me and you." Dave said smiling. Zak smiled back and thought about it for a moment. 

"Okay man, you better not jump me though, or else I'll never give you answers to math." Zak giggled, Dave rolled his eyes playfully. 

"I could figure those out myself." Dave crossed his arms with a fake pout, Zak laughed and hit Dave's arm. 

"Sure you can, Smarty." Zak said, Dave held in his laugh. 

"Okay, dumbass." Dave said, Zak put his hand over his heart. 

"How dare you call me that!" Zak said, acting way too over dramatic about it. Dave laughed and patted Zak's head. 

"See you later, nerd." Dave said, walking away to the doorway. Zak waved. 

"Bye, idiot."

Today was Valentine's Day. Early in the morning, Zak was waiting by the restrooms for Dave. He was hoping Dave would ask him out, but he doubted he would. So he tried to stay hopeful. 

"Sorry! My mom didn't care to drive me so I walked." Zak heard Dave yell, he looked and saw Dave running to him. 

When Dave got to him he leaned on the wall. Zak tilted his head in questioning but he didn't bother. 

"So did you wanna tell me something?" Zak asked, Dave nodded and immediately lost his confidence. 

Dave thought that Zak was too adorable. So he desperately wanted to ask Zak out but he was afraid of rejection. But he was already into this so no backing out now.
