Zak folded a red heart and gave it to Darryl, in which he gave him a dollar instead of five. Darryl had a friend discount, as Zak called it. During this time of year, the hearts cost more because of Valentine's day.

Zak always thought that hearts were much better, instead of a cringe filled letter. He didn't mind letters too much, they just weren't his thing.

He liked to make origami, and one day Vincent gave him the idea to sell them. He could make a simple heart or boat to a dragon or dolphin. He was lucky to be making small amounts of money though, as he could afford things that he could pay for himself. Mostly because most students didn't have a job yet and were still being supported by their parents.

Darryl stared at the heart in amazement.

"Wow Zak!" He exclaimed, "I didn't know you could actually make things." Zak looked at him dumbfounded.

"I've been doing this for like what, 3 years?" Zak said, Vincent grabbed the heart and looked at both of them.

"Yeah, where were you at?" Vincent asked, Darryl crossed his arms.

"Excuse me?" He said, "I was gone! I haven't even gotten here until last year!" Zak giggled.

"But you should've at least heard about this." Vincent said, Darryl groaned in a bit of frustration as Zak laughed at this.

"It's fine. Darryl is just late." Zak said, Darryl looked at Vincent and gave him a shrug.

"What can I say? You guys call me slow." Darryl said, Vincent and Zak went into a fit of laughter. A couple of people looked at them from across the street.

"Don't say anything- don't say anything to that!" Zak said, trying to breathe from the laughter but he ended up going back at it, and so did Vincent. Darryl rolled his eyes and ate a muffin he had.

"What?" Darryl said, Zak and Vincent calmed down from the laughter.

"Nothing, nothing." Vincent said, pretending to wipe a tear. They saw a shop, and it sold all sorts of stuff. Mainly things that had to do with arts and craft.

Zak looked at the two and they both groaned. They would have to go with Zak for another shopping trip. It took forever because Zak would never know what colors to use, never know how many he should get, and be always needed opinions.

"You're on your own this time." Vincent said, walking away quickly. Darryl went up to Zak and looked at the store.

"Well, I'll go with you!" Darryl said excitedly. He did like coming here but he just never liked the long trips. He just liked to browse.

They both entered the store and looked for origami paper, when they found some it had a variety of colors. Darryl was going to have to do this again, but he didn't want Zak cranky or salty at them like last time. That time they had left him to do shopping by himself, and so he raised the prices for Vincent and Darryl. Except Darryl didn't know about the origami until a week ago.

Zak looked at all of the blues, pinks, and even the patterns of things that he hadn't seen before in the shop. He pointed at it excitedly and saw Darryl look at it and nod. The Golden crowns above a pink surface looked great to them.

The pack had over 90, so that could hold Zak up for a couple weeks. But not everyone would like that, so he brought a couple more colors and patterns. He especially loved the gradient ones. No matter what color really, he still knew that someone would buy it. Even if it was just one.

Zak and Darryl left the shop, Darryl holding two bags as Zak only held a piece of candy. Darryl was kind enough to hold the bags, and he was relieved that it was a short shopping trip this time.
