03 seduced

Her day had been wasted but did that really matter? It was currently six o clock, and her mom was working late.

Violet was alone, something she was used to and didn't mind because she usually had time to think.

Normally, she didn't have a lot on her mind. She'd watch a movie or clean the house out of boredom.

Tonight... was different.

She didn't want to do anything. She didn't want to get out of bed even though she'd been there for an ongoing seven hours.

She didn't want to eat dinner or paint with her window open like she normally did.

She was miserable, and it wasn't because of her dad. Well, the situation of course. But in the end, it was her best friend that got to her the most. The only one she'd ever had at that.

After hours of thinking about it, she realized she had been hurt by the both of them equally.

The girl that was supposed to be her best friend, had knew exactly what she'd done. She was eighteen now, and seventeen when the supposed incident happened.

Violet and Adeline had been friends since the fourth grade. Nearly nine years of friendship. And that, it was gone.

The girl who she'd trust with anything in the world... Adeline, had betrayed her. That's how she felt at least.

They talked about everything, including their love of older men. Adeline was far more experienced than violet, in every aspect. But nevertheless, they got along so well. Maybe too well, considering how different they were from one another.

Adeline had experience with older men and would tell violet all about it.

She'd constantly make jokes about how her dad was attractive which violet would just laugh off with a "stop, gross" never thinking twice about it. Maybe she should've paid more attention, but it was not her fault she trusted her best friend as much as she did. Violet saw the best in everyone, even the scummiest people.

She was much different from Adeline in the sense she would just talk the talk. She would never act on her actions, even if she thought about doing it.

Time flew by and Adeline had become more of a toxic influence on her over the years of their unbreakable friendship.

Nevertheless, she was always the one she could trust.

Anytime violet changed, it was because of Adeline. Any ounce of innocence violet had that was corrupted, was because of Adeline.

She didn't deliberately try to change the person violet was, but they were polar opposites, which led them to adapt some of each other's qualities.

Over the past winter, Adeline had shown an increasingly noticeable amount of interest in violets dad. Instead of coming inside and saying hello with a short "Hi Mr. monear" as she walked up the stairs with violet to her room per usual, she'd stop and ask her father how he was doing.

Adeline then started suggesting to violet they should "Stay downstairs" because she never gets to talk to her parents, and they'd been close friends for "So long."

Violets mom was usually working so, it must have been her dad she really wanted to talk to.

Adeline and violet eventually started to spend time together downstairs, where they'd constantly laugh and watch movies with her father; because he was quite likable and fun to be around.

One night, they stayed up so late, that they fell asleep on the couch.

It was a long night, filled with snacks, movies, and board games. Violets mother came home late that night, tired from work and walked straight into her room. Falling asleep in her work clothes.
