Hannah, Claire, and Luca giggled like gossiping schoolgirls as they stood together in the hallway in front of their lockers. It was the Monday before the big game between Crenshaw and Hilldale and school spirit was in the air. Luca had his blue Crenshaw sweatshirt and a pair of mid-thigh length khaki shorts on, but other than that, that was the extent of his school spirit. It wasn't that he didn't have school spirit, it was more that he didn't understand why one should be that proud of which random high school they went to.
As he fetched the books out of his locker for his final two periods of the day, he noticed a familiar dark haired boy approaching him with a rather disgruntled and angry look on his face.
"You look like you're about to kill someone." Luca said teasingly as Gio groaned in irritation, banging his head lightly on the locker next to Luca's.
"The boys and I didn't sleep a wink last night, we had the shits all fucking night." Gio whined pitifully as Luca shot him a quizzical glance.
"I don't remember asking... but thanks for that." Luca smirked at him, "I didn't realize diarrhea was a communal team building activity."
"The Hilldale boys pranked us again." Gio rolled his eyes with an aggressive groan.
"I figured they were bound to retaliate eventually." Luca chuckled ironically. "I heard it cost the school a shit ton to replace all those locks."
"And how the fuck did you hear that?" Gio glanced up at him with scrutinizing eyes.
"Arianna told me." Luca lied effortlessly, it wasn't like he could tell him that Aidan told him while they spooned after sex.
"Ah. Anyway. Did you know that mixing an entire thing of laxatives into the team's Gatorade will have an entire team having explosive diarrhea for hours?" Gio seethed sarcastically, as Luca slapped his hand over his mouth in shock, but mostly to suppress his laughter.
"They didn't..." Luca gasped dramatically. "That's evil... That's like my level of evil."
"I know! It was that stronzo Aidan Taylor and his minions." Gio muttered through gritted teeth.
"So what are you going to do to get back at them?" Luca asked with an evil smirk on his face.
"Why do I feel like you're going to tell me what we're going to do?" Gio said as he read the purely sinister look his cousin had going.
"Don't worry." Luca said with a fiendish smile as he slammed his locker shut. "I'll handle it."
"Luca, as your cousin I mean this in the nicest way possible." Gio glanced down at his cousin wearily. "You're fucking terrifying sometimes."
"Aww Gio! That's the nicest thing you've ever said about me." Luca said with a fake sweet voice, before flashing Gio a wink and getting ready to walk to class. Revenge was about to be sweet.
"Yo G. You heading to Econ?" Luca heard a familiar voice that made his hair stand up on end. He looked up to see a familiar looking blond haired boy, talking to Gio as he slung his arm chummily over the other boy's shoulder.
The boy's eyes strayed away from Gio and landed on Luca as a smug look crept on the tall boy's face. The yellowish-hazel eyes unnerved Luca, and that is when he recognized exactly who he was. It was the boy from the movie theatre.
"Oh shit. Luca, this is Colton, he's a freshman on the JV team. Colton, this is my cousin Luca, but everyone knows him." Gio introduced them dismissively, barely giving it a second thought as Colton gave Luca a smirk.
"We've actually met before... At the theatre." Colton said smugly as he locked eyes with Luca. But Luca refused to let Colton see him sweat, he coolly with an unreadable look in his eyes. "Are you still with that boy?"
