JJ looked over at the man lying beside her. She wondered if she should just go without waking him or let him know where she was going like he was so clearly obsessed with nowadays. To be honest with herself, Will use to make JJ feel safe and secure, now she felt like she was walking on eggshells everytime she was around him. It was always his way or no way just like it had been with her father. Did she just compare Will to her father? That was never something she intended to do. Jennifer's father was mean, abusive. Not to JJ or Rosaline, but her brothers, were beaten and her mother was constantly being verbally, sexually, and physically assaulted and manipulated by him. Her house was one of screaming as a child, and she never handled fighting well now. When JJ met Will, she thought he was the opposite man that her father was, but now she wondered if maybe they were more similar than she thought. Maybe it was her, maybe she just made it too easy to take advantage. Either way, he was exhausting, he didnt make her feel secure anymore. But she loved him dearly, too much to let him go. She sometimes just wished she had never fallen for him in the first place. This is crazy. She married him for gods sakes. Who has thoughts like that about their husband? But still, the thoughts of having a family like the one she grew up in haunted her.

Meanwhile, Emily sat at her desk in the BAU, reading over cases and files. Emily was a cold and raw person. She was honest but she was closed off. She said what she thought unless it was about herself. She didn't talk about her emotions often, only rarely would someone, maybe JJ or Rossi, get past a wall or two. But with Emily, it didn't matter, because everybody has walls, maybe one or two, maybe even five. Emily though, her walls were endless and there was secrets hidden in them that nobody would ever know. At least, thats what she always told herself, and thats what she strived for. Some people would think of Emily has careless though, and that was wrong. Her care for people was never something she tried to hide. Her compassion wasn't hidden behind a wall. She loved openly, and that was something JJ admired about her because she wasn't able to anymore. Her father had made her believe love was tempory, no matter who with. Everybody told JJ she was her fathers prized possesion, she was the only thing he truly cared about. But why would a father force his daughter to watch the torment of her family? Why would he force her to hear the pleas of her mother at night through the thin walls of their small home? She didn't know, but she knew she loved Emily because of the way Emily was able to love.

Jennifer had just arrived at the BAU, she grabbed coffee, and approached the brunette.

"Hey." She smiled.

"Hey Jayje." Emily grinned. She always did upon seeing JJ.

"I'm sorry about the other night, thankyou." JJ spoke softly and her words flowed nice. She had a way with words, or more a way of speaking them. Her voice was calm, welcoming, and forgiving all in one. It's why she worked as a liason for so long.

"Oh don't apologize, it was fun. I miss our drinking days." Emily smiled. JJ thought about her choice of words, and realized Emily and her hadn't hung out in at least a few weeks before that. Wow. The two used to make plans weekly. To do anything. mini golf, movie nights, shopping, dinner, or just doing dumb shit at one of the three womens houses. Thats right, Penelope and her hung out often too, it had been at least a month since all three of them had gotten together.

"Me too." JJ laughed. "We'll do it again soon?" JJ asked, which was basically rhetorical.

"Of course."

"Prentiss, JJ." A familiar voice called from above. "Glad you're here. Please come into my office." Said Hotch. The two women shared a wary glance before making their way to his office door, which he shut promptly behind him. In the room were Himself, Rossi, and Garcia.

"Have a seat." Rossi said in his calming voice. The two women shared a glance again, as did Hotch and Rossi. Garcia sat there awkwardly watching. Despite their hesitation, pair took a seat in the chairs.

"What I am about to tell you two cannot leave this room."

"Sir..." Emily started.

"Are you up for a challenging and imperetive case yes or no." Emily looked at JJ with a questioning face. If JJ was okay with it Emily would trust her either way.

"I am if Emily is." JJ said looking at the woman.

"Me too." Emily said making eye contact with the blonde.

"Good." Rossi said.

"This case is one of extreme confidentiality. It threatens national security and possibily the safety of many lives. You two will not be able to tell anyone about this, not even your family's." Hotch looked at JJ, like he was expecting her to back out. But she remained focused.

"Garcia?" Rossi prompted and she pulled a remote out, turning to the small tv in the room.

"This is Adrik Sidorov, or should I say Gunter Beichemer. He was a German Imformant for the NSA working out of Russia. He was gathering intel on an unamed group that are believed to be weapons selling, it is also believed that this group has a higher agenda. It isn't known if they are an agency or simply a mobster gang. But we do know they have infiltrated the SVR and other military intelligence agencies. That information was gathered by the man I'm showing you now."

"Gunter was years into this work, and he was about to figure out alot more. Gunter had a meeting with this man." Garcia pulled up a picture of a middle aged man, with graying hair and a simple outfit. "His name is Volkov Redicodvt. He was apparently in contact with these people. He believed Gunter was an interested "business" man. But two days before he was supposed to meet up with him..." She pulled up pictures of two dead men. They were badly beaten and had ligature marks on the wrists. The final cause of death appeared to be a gunshot to the back of the skull. "Both men were found dead. This means that not only did the men find out that these men had been communicating, but they knew 'Adrik' was our informant and possibly knew his real indentity as well."

"Now we don't know the name of this group or who they work for but one thing we do know is the leader seems to be this man." Hotch said and security footage of a man getting out of a car popped up.

"Do we know his name?" Emily asked.

"Yes. Martin Zakladna."

"Then why can't we catch him?" JJ inquired.

"Because no information can be found under that name in any database, either he was able to change his name and lose all ties to his whole life or..."

"Or he completely earased his original identity." Emily said.

"So why are you telling us this? This doesnt seem like a bau case."

"You're right JJ but either way we have been asked to try and handle this." Rossi explained. "For whatever reason the NSA asked for FBI and the director asked me which agents of the bau I thought would be best fit. I told him you two."

"So whats our job?" Emily asked.

"Go to Russia, there you will be met by Agent Austin, an American NSA Agent who has overseen much of the operation there. Agent Austin has never been under cover and his identity isn't protected, thats his job."

"After meeting with Agent Austin you will be escorted by car to your apartment, this isn't an undercover assignment. However, if approached and questioned by unknown personnel do not give away any personal information. Got that?" Rossi continued.

"If this isn't an undercover operation may I tell Will?" JJ asked.

"Yes. But only that you're going to Russia to work on a case. Do not give him any details, same with the rest of the team." Hotch explained. "Garcia is here because you will need her expertise on this case, consult her like you would in any other."

"I guess the only questions left are how long and when do we leave?" Emily said.

"Prepare for a few weeks to several months. I've made it clear to the director that I can't spare you guys any longer than that. As for when, tomorrow morning. You can both head back home now and prepare."

The two women did as told and headed home for the remainder of the day to prepare. Emily went through which clothes she wanted to bring and such. For JJ however, preparing meant alot more than packing. She had to tell this to Will, and she honestly wasn't expecting the best response.
