Prologue

♠Ace's PoV♠
"Okay, Ace. It's time for the show" Vanilla the acrobat smiled at me because it'll be the 7th time I'll perform since I was kept in the circus.

And my role? I play the violin at the start of the show and the interesting part I have two eye colors, special right? Red on the left side, orange on the right side. That's why I'm known as the "Two Eyed Freak". Huh? Who knew being special can be this offensive?Doesn't matter. As long as I get paid then i won't mind being a freak show. I took a deep breath and grabbed my violin, I still feel anxious performing despite this is going to be my 7th time performing in front of a crowd. One thing you should know about me..

I HATE PEOPLE.

Well not everyone, my fellow circus members are like family to me. But, every other "normal" person out there. Oh please..Anyway, I grabbed my mask that's basically a ball mask that has a jester look to it. I forgot,I play along with the clowns. The only funny joke here, is my life. Yes, even clowns gets to be dead inside.

"Before we begin our lovely show tonight..I bring you the one and only! Ace The Two Eyed Freak!" Everyone cheered, I walked to the center of the circus, where everyone had eyes on me.

I completely tried to ignore the hundred of eyes staring at me, they were silent, waiting for me to perform. I took another deep breath and closed my eyes as I started to perform. I focused on playing the violin, everyone was listening. I couldn't hear a single being, only the sound of my violin can be heard which made me at ease. Everything was calm and peaceful until the end of the note of the song I was playing, I bowed and everyone clapped. It feels nice being praised at. I should be an overlord or something. Then again, being able to play the violin in front of people then they would clap at how great you are? Who's the fool now?! I walked to the back stage  and I was greeted by smiles and bright faces.

"We're so proud of you Ace! That's our little boy!" Arnold the Clown cheered.

"Was that a joke? Clearly that only made me laugh"I joked and gave myself a little laugh.

"Aww, Ace. But you are great! Playing that thing..That strumming thing..A guitar!" Wally the Strongman shouted out aloud filled with pride.

"You mean a Violin. Get it right steroids"I teased, he gave me a glare and playfully ruffled my hair.

"You were a lot nicer when you were young"Wally said in a soft tone.

"For a strong man, you're soft hearted. Wanna switch places?"I jokingly offered.

"Guys, as much as I wanna celebrate Ace's 7th performance. We have a show going on!" Janna the unicyclist reminded.

We all nodded and gave a bright smile."The show must go on!" They shouted in enthusiasm as they head to the stage except for Arnold and me since we would perform a little bit later.

I walked out the circus tent and looked at the night sky. The stars were shining brightly, hell! I could even see the big dipper. The stars looked so beautiful at the night sky, it was silent too.

"So this is my life now huh? A freak show for everyone to see, I'm not complaining. Just maybe, things could go a little different for me" I mumbled at myself. As much as I love performing in the circus and everyone in it. I still wanna know how it feels like to be a normal kid. But, I guess I'll never know. Maybe at least I want to know how love feels like, I like to think there's still a chance despite my life being a joke for everyone.

"Ace! It's showtime.."Arnold called, I rushed back inside to get ready to face those fools of an audience one more time.

As time passed..

It was finally our last performance for tonight's show and our plan was to form a pyramid with me on top.

I'm always at the top baby! Hell yeah!

The circus' cast formed a pyramid, I was holding on to the acrobat's ring that will bring me to the pyramid top with the Ring Leader. I took a deep breath then headed to the forming pyramid. There I stood above everyone. And the Ring Leader floating above us at the acrobat's ring.

Everyone cheered, throwing roses and claps, it felt like a fantasy. Nothing would be better than this! I wouldn't trade my circus life for anything at all!

After everyone left,the cast decided to have a drink while the Ring Leader talks to the business man which he is the reason why the circus stays here at the first place. Me on the other hand, I didn't feel like drinking this time, I stayed behind the circus tent and sat down as I enjoy the starry night sky, I played my violin, everything was calming and peaceful. It's times like these I really wish that I'd get often but, it didn't really matter. I can't ask for more can I? I stopped playing my violin and just enjoyed the sky while feeling the gentle breeze of the wind touch my skin. Suddenly, I heard a stick being stepped on.

"Meep!"I heard someone muttered out.

"Who goes there?!" I stood up looking around.
