I've been at this fucking post for several hours now and it's incredibly hard not to fall asleep. Ever since Richy told me the target was heading out Demon told me to keep an eye on them.
So I have been on this stupid building with Richy for almost two hours without a break.
Not to mention I barely had any sleep last night because Demon wanted me to get more information even though the target was nine times out of ten sleep.
It's annoying that he always want us to get information while he's doing God knows what in his office.
But on the other hand, Richy and I have started talking. Since that day he asked about escaping we haven't really been talking, but today he surprised me by saying a shy hello.
Of course I responded saying hi, because I didn't want to sound rude, but I could tell that something was off about him.
He didn't have that usual glow to him. The glow that would make me laugh and smile in a heart beat. The glow that would make all of my worries go away.
The glow that would make me feel like everything is going to be alright.
Even though life made me feel like it wouldn't.
Richy made me feel as if everything would be ok. That even after a hurricane, the sun will shine again.
With him that's what my world felt like. A sun shining so bright it could blind any living creature.
"They're leaving the movies." Richy called out from beside me looking through a pair of binoculars
I snapped out of my trance and blushed knowing I was just thinking about him.
"Can you see where they're going?" I asked scratching the back of my neck
"Not really, they're getting in the car now. They just pulled out of the parking spot and now they're on their way down the street. I can't see that far." He told me setting the binoculars down on the floor
"I have another way of seeing them." I called out
He turned back to me with a raised brow, because the only thing Demon gave us for lookout was a pair of binoculars and a telescope.
"How?" He asked
"Demon gave me a tracker to use on the target's phone." I replied shrugging while taking my phone out of my back pocket
I went to the tracking app he gave me when I first got assigned.
"They're heading to Wendy's, and we need to hurry up so we can see where they're going next!" I replied hurriedly to the confused man looking at me
He stared at me for a few moments then smirked.
"Why are you sitting there smirking? We have to get going!" I announced grabbing my coat and supplies
He nodded and got the binoculars and coat following me down the fire escape stairs to the bottom floor of the building.
As I went down the stairs I kept muttering the one and only thought in mind that motivated me to get away from this life.

The movie was over and we were heading back home. It wasn't too bad, but I still dislike horror movies. Especially the jump scares.
"What do you want to eat baby girl?" Romeo asked pulling out of the parking lot
"Wendy's?" I replied having the taste for a burger
"Ok, what're you going to get?" He asked driving to Wendy's
"A burger, fries, and a lemonade with light ice." I responded handing him a $10
"Put it back in your purse baby. I'm paying." He said leaving no room for discussion
"Ok then." I muttered putting the bill back in my purse
I took my phone out checking my Instagram seeing no one had messaged me, then I checked my Snapchat and it was the same thing.
Before I knew it we came to a stop and Romeo began to speak out of the window.
"What can I get for you today?" The person through the speaker asked politely
"Can I get two cheeseburgers, two large fries, and two large sized lemonades. I want light ice with both of the lemonades." He replied digging in his pocket for his wallet
"Will that be all for you today?" The person asked
"Yes, that will be all." He replied
"Alright, your total is $20.76, please pull up to the 1st window."
He pulled out $25 and placed his wallet back in his pocket.
"You know I could've paid right?" I asked not wanting him to think I'd have to fully depend on him
"I know, but it's my job to take care and spoil you, so paying for your food isn't bothering me." He retaliated
I sighed heavily as we pulled to the second window to pay and get our order.
"Your total is $20.76." The man said slightly holding his hand out
Romeo handed the guy the money and the guy typed the amount into the cash register and the money slot thingy came out,
"$4.24 is your change Sir, please pull up to the second window, and your order will be waiting for you." The man replied with a kind smile
I smiled knowing he was a nice and kind man and because I was finally about to eat.
What can I say?
I'ma sucker for food
He pulled to the second window and like the man said, a woman was standing there with our drinks and food. She opened her window and gave us a smile showing her pearly whites.
"Your meal Sir."
Romeo took the food and tray of drinks and handed them to me so I could place them in my lap as he looked back to the woman.
"Thank you, have a blessed day." He said giving a small wave
"You too." She replied waving as well getting ready for the next costumer
We pulled off going in the direction of my beloved home. I was happy that I was finally able to get my food, but I couldn't shake this feeling. I felt as if we were being watched, or maybe followed.
I looked behind me to see a car but they could probably be ordinary, because there was normal traffic around this time.
I took out my phone and checked the time.
8:00 P.M.
I thought it would've been later than that, but I guess not.
I looked to Romeo who was focused on driving but he took my hand and kissed the back of it lightly and I smiled knowing he could do the smallest things that put me at ease.
He's my protector, lover, and the person I love to wake up to every morning, and even though I just met him at the beginning of the year, I felt as if I have known him my entire life.
I love him to the moon and back, and I honestly don't think I would've been happy with anyone else who could've entered my life.
"I love you baby boy." I announced when he was pulling into my driveway
"I love you too baby girl." He replied kissing the back of my hand once again
I blushed heavily and locked our fingers together. He squeezed my hand lightly reassuring me he was there with me, and in that moment I knew he was always going to to be with me.
