Kaylee

"Maya, make sure you check the mail today!" I yelled from my room

When I didn't hear a response, I yelled once more making her walk into my room with a bag of potato chips in hand.

"What did you say?" She asked with a raised brow

I rolled my eyes but took my headphones out and looked at her giving her my full attention.

"I said make sure to check the mail today." I stated for the second time

She looked confused but answered with an "okay" and walked off.

I put my headphones back in my ears and continued to look for clothes online. I needed more clothes since school was about to start soon.

Today is finally the day I'd find out if I'll be attending Southwest High. I'll be a senior this year and I'm excited but nervous for my last year of highschool. I planned on going to college after this so this year meant a lot to me and my academics.

Southwest High School got built last year, and it's only for the famous heirs of the most powerful business people in America.

Maxine and my best friend, Maya, are going to see if they made it there as well.

Maya's mom has owned one of the most famous hospitals for years. It's been a family business for several generations, and Maya said she might take over when she's older.

It's been a booming and successful business ever since it first opened up and I've never heard one bad comment because of their friendly and fast service.

But just like every other heir of the money making industry, we have a way to live, a way to act, and a way we'd need abide by at all times.

At times it's too much, and I just want to be...

Normal

But even though this is going to be a hard year, I have Maya and Maxine with me, and I know she'll be down with me forever.

FavBitch😜💕: Hey, check your mail

Speak of the devil

Me: Ok

I walked out of my luxurious bedroom, and went outside to check the mail.

"Maxine I'm checking the mail! Maxine!" I screamed to my younger sister

"Ok bitch damn! You don't have to yell! Check the damn mail already!" She yelled irritated

I laughed to myself knowing I got her irritated. It's literally one of the most important highlights of my day.

When I opened the mailbox, I found an envelope with my name written in fancy writing on it, and it said "Welcome to Southwest High" in pretty black italic letters.

My mouth opened slightly looking at the beautiful handcrafted envelope before me. I carefully tore the seal of the envelope, and looked inside to find a printed sheet of paper with a letter written on it.
