Chapter 3- The Aftermath

Hermione woke up to the sound of an owl tapping on the window. She tried to get up but an arm was wrapped around her waist. She saw Draco sleeping next to her. She couldn't help but stare at their naked bodies. Their legs were tangled together. She saw Draco's abs, his biceps and his face. "Like what you see? Take a picture it'll last longer." Draco remarked. Hermione blushed and removed his arm and stood to open the window. A brown owl with golden eyes flew in with the Daily Prophet. The owl dropped it and Draco caught it with his hand. The owl left and Hermione closed the window, "What does it say?" Hermione asked, reaching for the newspaper. "You might not want to read this." Draco warned. "Why not?" Hermione asked while grabbing the newspaper from Draco's hands. There on the front page was:

Last night, we saw Ron Weasley kissing an another girl in one of the most famous club in the Wizarding World, Pixie Bomb.We all know that Ron Weasley is in a relationship with our famous war heroine, Hermione Granger. What could have possibly happen that resulted their relationship to a downfall? See more on page 7.

Hermione stared at the paper. She just at the paper stared quietly. Draco was expecting her to rage or sob but she didn't, she just stared. Hermione didn't know what to feel. "He's got over me quickly!" Hermione whispered. "I can't believe it!" "I mean you did too, right?" Draco snickered. "Oh shut up Malfoy. Don't get cocky now that I've fucked you." Hermione snapped, causing Draco's hands to rise in surrender. As she stared at the paper, she remembered the way they uses to laugh together, how he makes her smile and the kisses they shared. She remembered when they first met, when he made her cry, when he tried to defend her when Malfoy called her a mudblood, and all other memories. She teared up a bit but she didn't want to look weak in front of Malfoy. She wiped her tears without Draco seeing but he still saw it anyway. She was shocked when she felt Draco wrapped an arm around her, trying to comfort her. She broke down in tears, her head in his shoulders. "I miss him so much." she sobbed on his shoulder. They don't know how long they were sitting like that but Hermione calmed down and was now back to breathing normal. Draco removed his arm and looked at Hermione. "Come downstairs I'll make you breakfast." he offered. She only nodded and started to dress up. She borrowed Draco's shirt and a pair of boxers which are rather comfy. Draco did the same and commented,"Granger, I must say you look good in my clothes." "I like it actually." she said. "That's surprising." Draco said, looking shocked. They went downstairs and Draco started to cook some pancakes. Hermione just sat there looking at him. Who would've thought that Hermione Granger just had sex with Draco Malfoy? If someone told her years ago that this would've happen, she would've said that the person has gone mad. Hermione snapped out of her trail of thoughr when Draco put a plate full of blueberry pancakes in front of her. "They look delicious." she said. "Trust me, they're the best." he remarked. "Tea?" he offered. "I prefer coffee." she said. "Black?" "Sure" Together, they ate breakfast in silence with just the sound of utensils clinking. They both finished breakfast and she helped him clean the dishes. She changes into her own clothes and went back downstairs. "Thanks for the breakfast, Malfoy." she thanked him. "It was nothing." he said. "I have to get ready for work. Bye." "Bye" he said and then she apparated back home. She showered and change into clean work clothes. She flooed to work and a lot of paparazzi started to take pictures of her and started to ask questions. "What happened between you and Ron Weasley?" "What was your reaction when you saw this?" "Did you break up?" She pushed through the crowd and went to her office in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She said to her assistant to not to disturb her and went inside. She worked for hours and she didn't notice it was already lunchtime until somebody knocked on the door. "Come in." Hermione said. Draco came in and Hermione questioned him, "What are you doing here? And how'd you know I was here?" "I want to ask you something. I work here obviously." Draco pointed out. "On what department?" Hermione asked. "The same as yours."
Draco said."Okay so what is it that you wanna ask me?" Hermione asked. Draco became nervous all of a sudden. "Um I uh I-I was wondering if you would like to go to lunch with me." Draco said sheepishly. "Sure I'm starving." Hermione agreed.
