Chapter 6- Insult

That evening, Hermione waited for Ginny to arrive but instead she got a letter from Harry.

Hermione,

Sorry for keeping you up 'Mione. Ginny
couldn't come over because she collapsed after she came home a while ago. She said practice was hectic today so she couldn't come over. We' re really sorry and we hope that we didn't cancel any of your plans. However, Ginny did say that she has 3 day offs starting tomorrow so is it okay for her to come over tomorrow?

Hermione grabbed and wrote a quick letter saying Ginny can come over the next day. Hermione got ready for bed and went to a dreamless sleep.

The next day, Hermione went to work and found Draco waiting for her.
"How long have you been waiting?" Hermione asked.
"Just for a few minutes. So what are you teaching me today?" Draco asked, sounding bored.
"Well, I'll be teaching you today about your schedule and my daily coffee." Hermione announced.
"What the hell is a daily coffee?!" Draco yelled.
"It's simply a black coffee with 2 teaspoons of sugar. Nothing else." Hermione explained.
"I better listen this time so that I wouldn't spend more time with you."
Draco spat.
"Fine. Okay so since you've been working here for a while now, you should now where to find some people that I ask you to go to. For example, where would you if I ask you to bring paperwork to Oliver Dawlish?" Hermione tested.
"He's one floor below your department." Draco answered.
"Okay good... "

Hermione tested Draco on people she would most likely ask him to go to. She teached him for a long time that Draco was so bored than hearing Professor Binns teach. Suddenly Draco thought of an idea to cure his boredom.

"Where would I fi-"
"Granger, just stop for a moment." Draco cut off.
"Well, you just cut me off so this better be important." Hermione said, annoyed.
"Hear me out, what if we do an insulting challenge? If I win, we take a 5- minute break everyday. And if you win, I'll always listen and no breaks. Deal?" Draco asked.
"That so stupid but fine. I'm only agreeing to this just so you listen everytime I teach you." Hermione agreed.
"So who goes first?" Draco asked.
"How about rock, paper, scissors?" Hermione offered.
"What's that?" Draco asked.
"Well, it's simple. You choose between rock, paper or scissors then if you win, you go first but if I win, I go first. Rock beats scissors. Paper beats rock. Scissors beat paper. Do you understand?" Hermione asked.
"That sounds easy enough. I'm sure I'll win." Draco said confidently.
"Rock, paper, scissors, SHOOT!"
Rock beats scissors.
"Ha! I win!" Hermione cheered. Draco looked grumpy after Hermione beat him.
"Okay I go first then," Hermione thought of an easy insult since it was just starting. "Bouncing ferret" Hermione said with a smirk.
"Really, Granger? You look like a gorilla with brown hair." Draco laughed at what he said. Hermione was annoyed but tried her best to not let it show.
"Crooked nose" Hermione giggled. Draco remembered when Hermione punched him in the nose and his nose was crooked after that.
"Funny, Granger? You dress up like an old lady." Draco insulted.
"Oh really? You look like an albino-"
"Is that all you got?" Draco cut off.
"-bouncing ferret." Hermione continued laughing.
"Hey!" Draco looked insulted which made Hermione smirk.
"Let's step it up a notch, shall we?" Draco challenged, feeling determined. "Maybe you couldn't handle it." Hermione backfired.
"Really? Roses are red-"
"You're really gonna do a pick-up line?" Hermione cut off.
"Just let me finish. Roses are red, violets are blue, I was born pretty, what happend to you?!" Draco  finished, bursting out laughing.
Hermione was about to insult him back but something changed inside her. Her eyes looked darker than normal.
"You really think I look like that?" Hermione said while slowly taking a step towards Draco. Draco gulped and said, "N-no, I mean, yes."
Hermione took another step and another and another until she was in front of Draco. She leaned in and whispered, "What about I show you?"
Draco couldn't reply as Hermione closed the gap between their two bodies.
