The next day came  shortly, and Hermione woke up from the light coming in her room from the windows.

She looked at the clock in front of her, showing a small stick pointing at number eight, and a larger stick pointing towards six.

Suddenly, she remembered what she planned with Malfoy today. Draco will be her assistant.

Quickly, with a use of magic, she was now ready to leave and meet Draco. She apparated in Diagon Alley and while she walked towards the coffee shop, Unicorn Brews, she felt as though she regretted making plans with him.

Why did I even thought of that?, Hermione thought. I was probably just horny and wanted to see Malfoy again. Now I'm just regretting it.

As she stepped in the coffee shop, Hermione felt more anxious. What if Draco didn't show up and stood her up? What if she was waiting for nothing? What if he was just playing with her? These negative thoughts shot Hermione like bullets.

And then, as if on cue, she saw Draco waiting for her on a seat. He was looking down, patiently waiting for Hermione, and even looked anxious like Hermione.

"I'm sorry if I was late." Hermione apologized politely and sat down in the empty seat in front of Draco. "Good morning, Malfoy."
"Good morning to you too, Granger." Draco smiled.

Waves of relief washed Hermione. He came, he actually came.

"Wipe that scared look on your face, would you? I'm not gonna eat you." Draco laughed.
"I'm just gonna pretend you haven't ate me." Hermione mumbled under her breath.
"I'm sorry?" Draco chuckled.
"Nothing, nothing." Hermione chuckled as well, feeling lighter than she was seconds ago. "Okay, back to business talk. I've invited you this morning to have a little business talk with you, about you being my new assistant." Hermione started. Hermione started explaining the basics to Draco.

Draco nodded, rested his elbow on the table and placed his chin on his palm, looking at Hermione dreamily.

In Draco's eyes, he cannot hear her. Instead, everything around them blurred, as though they were the only person in the coffee shop. Hermione laughed in slow motion, talking noiselessly.

"Malfoy, are you even listening?" Hermione snapped her finger in front of Draco's face.
Draco shook his head and went back to sitting straight. "Wh- What? Oh yeah, of course. Carry on." Draco nodded.
"I asked a question, you dinghead." Hermione said offendedly.

Draco licked his lips with wide eyes, quickly thinking what she could've asked.

"I didn't quite catched your question, Granger. What was it?" he asked sheepishly.

Hermione sighed, giving up.

"I asked if you were down to meet everyone in the industry and start working this afternoon?" she asked.
"Yes!" Draco replied in an instant. "I mean, yes I'd love to."

Hermione was a bit taken back. She didn't think Draco would immediately say after she just told him about how poor the bathroom is.

"Have you even heard when I explained the basics?" Hermione asked.
"Definitely. Uhhh maybe. No. Definitely not." Draco said with a pink tinge on his cheeks.
"Okay, I'll explain again and you better listen carefully." Hermione warned. Draco nodded. Hermione explained the whole thing again and kept on looking at Draco to see if he was listening.

"Well then, we're through, aren't we?" Hermione asked.

Draco suddenly felt empty. He was going to be back in his lonely, boring, flat. And he didn't want that.

"If you're through, then we are." Draco replied cooly, standing up from the seat as Hermione did so.
"Okay then. Thanks a lot for that, you don't know much yet but I fancied my old assistant, hopefully you get on her level." Hermione smirked.
"And what do you mean by that?" Draco asked with his arrogant smirk on his face.
"I don't know, maybe add fun to your job, or some sort?" Hermione looked up at Draco as they walked out of the coffee shop.
"Hey! I'm a fun person. You probably aren't fun as I am. " Draco asked with an eyebrow raised.
"I'm a fun person but fine, you win. You're fun and hopefully you do good on the job."

"I'll definitely will." Draco mumbled under his breath.

"What was that?" Hermione asked.
"Oh nothing." Draco teased.

Hermione playfully rolled her eyes at Draco and laughed.

As she was walking quietly, a question popped in Hermione's head.

"Hey, Malfoy, what do you think—"

Hermione stopped herself from speaking when she realized Draco had disapparated. "Oh well, guess I'll just go back to work then." Hermione thought.

Hermione apparated inside her office and surprised that Harry was in there waiting for her. Harry stood from his chair and gave Hermione a hug.

"I'm so sorry 'Mione I didn't get to talk to you about you know.... him." Harry apologized.
"It's okay Harry, I'm fine. You look tired, Harry. Are you getting enough sleep?" Hermione asked, worried.
"I'm okay' Mione." Harry said while yawning. Hermione looked at him, "Okay, fine. I haven't have a good sleep in like a week. Ginny and I have been busy planning our wedding." Harry explained.
"How about tonight, you take a well-deserved sleep and I'll invite Ginny to a girls' night?"Hermione offered.
"That would be wonderful. Thank you 'Mione." Harry thanked Hermione.
"No problem." Hermione said.
"I'll go back to my office now. Bye' Mione." Harry said while opening the door.
"Bye Harry." Hermione said.
