I pant hard struggling to keep up with soldiers movements. Each of them by my side grabbed my arms with an iron grip and forcefully shoved me forward with each step making me stumble and almost face plant. Annoyed with my clumsiness as if it was my fault, one of them clicks their tongue and pulls me forward, his grip getting harder.
I gasped in pain while he spat "Walk properly brat"My jaw clenched and to say I was pissed would be an understatement. "Then don't fucking shove me" I failed to bite my tongue and instantly I felt a hard smack across my face that almost sent me flying to the other solider by my side.
Tears threatened to spring from my eyes due to the huge impact and the throbbing that came afterwards. I knew it was going to bruise later on. What's wrong with these people? I was old enough to know this was child abuse.
"You're lucky I am in a merciful mood today punk, that's the lightest punishment you could get for your monstrosity. Wait till general Roh finds out you just electrocuted one of our doctors" the soldier exclaimed while we arrived in front of a wooden door.
A sob escapes my chest as I rapidly shake my head in denial "Please, it was an accident I swear"The other soldier was nonchalant as ever to my pleas, as if he heard it a hundred times before. And in one swift motion he opens the door with his keys while the guard on my right laughs in my face. He leaned closer, looking more amused than ever at my regret. I could feel his hot breath on my nose and scrunched up my face at his unpleasant breath.
"Even accidents have consequences sweetheart"
I felt bile rise up in my throat from the pure disgust of this man and the terror of what's to come. Am I going to die? Are they going to torture me? Will I ever be able to see sunlight again? I bit my lips hard. Where did it all go wrong?
The soldier with the keys pushes me into the room and slams it shut. At this point hot salty tears were streaming down my cheeks, quick gasps filling the quiet room. In a moment's notice I was confused to find candle lights in every corner instead of actual light fixtures.
What the heck?I stepped back with my back touching the door in defense realizing my surroundings. It was obvious while I was stuck here. Plastic cuffs, candle lights, wooden doors, everything that would stop me from using my electrokinetic powers.
I had to admit, the government definitely thought this through, it made sense. But in my case it also left me feeling defenseless against anything that was to come out to me. I lick my dry lips in an attempt to calm down and accept the fact that I was basically exposed.
My toes began curling underneath my worn out sneakers from the anticipation, I was getting fidgety.
A few moments of silence go by before I hear footsteps from the other side of the room. But before I could react, all of a sudden I could hear a gun cock in the darkness looming over me. By reflex I take a sharp breath before scrambling behind the closest table I could find almost slipping against the wooden floors.
My heart was caught in my throat and I began to comprehend that my life was in danger. Those guards brought me here for a reason, I accidentally electrocuted one of their doctors and it was very possible that the doctor could be dead. An eye for an eye, that’s what whoever was in the room wanted.
A whimper escapes my lips and I start to shake like a drowned cat. Should I beg, plead, sell some of my organs?! Fuck!
"Little girl, just come out and make this easier for both us" a sickly smooth voice rings in my ears. My hand clenched until my knuckles turned white, I could feel the blood drain from my face. The atmosphere became even more thick, more dark as if the candles weren’t even there.
