Sonic the Hedgehog: High School Adventures Book 1: Freshman

Chapter 1: Welcome!

"Meep! Meep! Meep!" The alarm clock on the nightstand of a certain hedgehog was blaring it's early morning call. A gloved hand protruded from the depths of a striped blanket, and landed on the snooze button, ending the agony of hearing the siren-like sound. He rose out of bed with a groan as he shoved the blankets to the other side of the bed. He trudged over to the closet on the side of his room and with a yawn, searched for something to wear that would match his blue fur. He found some blue jeans and a nice jacket and put them on. As he walked down the mahogany staircase, he heard a familiar voice call out his name.

"Good morning Sonic!" said a yellow-furred fox.

"Morning Tails!" Sonic said to the 14- year old fox as they both walked into the kitchen.

"Are you ready to start high school?" Tails asked Sonic, while also using his bright, blue eyes to search for his favorite cereal.

Sonic thought about it, then stated, "Yes. What about you?"

"Actually, i'm pretty nervous." said the friendly kitsune.

Sonic grabbed the schedules from the wooden countertop and compared them with one another. "I'm sure you will be fine Tails." he reassured the fox. "Besides, we have the same schedule." He pointed at the two papers. Tails looked at them and nodded in agreement. Sonic walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a box of Mobius Puffs. He poured some of it into a bowl that he got from one of the other cabinets. He then went to the fridge, grabbed some milk, and poured some into his and Tails' bowl. Then he put it away as Tails sat down to eat his breakfast. Then, they finished their breakfast and put the bowls in the dishwasher. Then they heard a knocking at the door. Tails looked at Sonic. Sonic looked back and nodded and Tails went to the door to open it.

"Hey Knuckles!" said Tails.

"Hello Tails. Hello Sonic." said the red echidna.

"Hey Knucks." said Sonic. Tails stepped aside, allowing Knuckles to cross he threshold. "How's everything at Angel Island? Is the Master Emerald safe?" said the anthropomorphic hedgehog.

"Yeah. Tails made an impenetrable forcefield around the Master Emerald so that nobody can get it."

Tails pulled out a gadget from his back jeans pocket. It had a green and red bucket. "You canonly deactivate it using this controller." He pointed at the red button. "Press this button to deactivate it. Press the green button to reactivate it." He handed the device to Knuckles. Knuckles pocketed it and looked at the clock.

"It's 7:40 guys. We better going to school." said the echidna. "We don't want to be late on the first day of school." The three friends gathered their things and headed out the front door.
