Chapter 4: Silver

BRRRIIINNNGGG! The sound of the bells bounced off of the walls like a kid that is sugar high.

That's the warning bell. We better get to class." said Espio. As if right on cue, the former courtyard students started bursting through the door and with them,a tidal wave of noise that even the deafest Mobian could hear.

The group ran as fast as they could ( Well, except Sonic, Tails, and Espio.) to their classes. Sonic, Tails, Mighty, Cream, Cheese, and Amy all arrived at room 18. They entered the classroom and Amy, Cream, and Cheese sat next to each other as Tails and Mighty took two seats next to the other. Sonic took one of the last two available seats. A few minutes passed and the teacher hadn't come through the door so Sonic pulled out his phone and started looking at pictures in the camera roll. He stopped at picture of him and Tails going trick-or-treating. He smiled as he remembered that day. He dressed up as Tails and Tails dressed up as him. Their costumes were so good that their friends thought they were the person they dressed up as. Sonic set the picture as the wallpaper and put his phone back in his phone as the teacher walked through the door.

"Hello class." said the teacher. "I will take attendance, then we can start. Amy."

"Here."

"Antoine."

"Here."

"Blaze."

"Here."

"Cream."

"Here."

"Mighty."

"Here."

"Miles."

"Here, you can just call me Tails."

"Okay, Rotor."

"Here."

"Rouge."

"HeSilve

"Sally."

"Here."

"Scourge." Silence envelops the classroom. "Scourge?" Just then, the green hedgehog from the fight walks in.

"Here." he growled. He sat in the only seat left - right next to Sonic.he didn't even look at the blue hedgie. He just stared ahead as the teacher continued with attendance.

"Silver."

"Here." said a nervous looking, gray and white hedgehog.

"STangl

"Here." Scourge flinched at the sound of the other hedgehog's voice.

"Tangle"

"Here."

"Whisper."

"Here."

"Good. Everyone is here." The teacher walked over to the whiteboard and started writing something down. He stepped aside to let the teachers see what he wrote. It said, "Welcome!"

Then he walked over to a clipboard on the wall. "The seats that you are in right now will bed your assigned seats for the next two months." he said as he was writing all of the students names on the little squares that serve as the desks on the paper. Then he said, "Let's get to know each other better by playing some board games!"

(Sonic's POV)

After my teacher was done talking, he walked over to the storage room next to his desk. After a few minutes, he emerged from the dark room with some games in his hands. I looked at the titles of the games. There was Monopoly and Pictionary, among some others. Then the teacher asked the gray hedgehog, Silver I think his name is, to help him carry the board games. Silver nodded, then walked into the dark room. Then, I seen a aqua-green light come out of the closet. I was about to run in there to see if anything was wrong, until the silver hedgehog walked out of the room with a bunch of board games in his hand and ... floating above his head!

I could not believe what I was seeing! There! Were! Board! Games! FLOATING! Above! His! Head! I looked over at Mighty and Tails. Their mouths were both open and they were staring at Silver. I switched my gaze back over to Silver and watched him casually walk over to the teacher's desk and set both piles of board games on top of the others. Then he walked back over to his desk and sat down like nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Tails, Mighty and I watched Silver with amazement as all of the other students walked up to the desk to grab a board game like seeing someone make things float was part of their everyday lives. Amy and Cream walked up to me with a game of Pictionary. "Don't mind him. That's Silver. Everyone hates him cause he used to work for G.U.N." She pointed to the board game. "Do you want to play?"

"Sure." I said to the two girls. Me and my friends all walked over to a spot on the floor as I thought about what Amy said. What if anyone found out that I also worked for G.U.N.? Me and my friends started setting up the game. I looked around the classroom and seen everyone playing a game - except Silver, who was sitting there in his desk, all alone.

(Silver's POV)

I heard some footsteps coming towards me. I looked up and seen a blue hedgehog walking up to me. I looked back down, I didn't know what to do. Should I run? Should I stay? I decided to stay, in spite of my instincts telling me to run and hide. I looked back up at the hedgehog, he was looking at me and smiling. But the smile wasn't evil looking like the ones people gave me before they were going to beat me up, it was ... kind.

"Hello." said the blue hedgehog.

"Hi." I said weakly, looking for possible escape routes.

"What you did earlier with the board games was pretty cool."

"Umm ... thanks." I blushed a little. Most people teased me because of that. The only other person that was fine with my powers was my mother and father, but they are dead now.

"If you don't mind me asking, can you tell me how did you get the powers?"

"Well, I was kind of just born with it, ya know?"

"Yeah, I know all about it. I was born with my super speed. By the way, the name's Sonic, what's your's?"

"Silver."

"Well Silver, would you like to play with me and my friends?" He pointed to a group of people sitting in a circle, waiting for him.

"Yeah, I would." I said to Sonic. For the rest of the class, I played Pictionary with Sonic and his friends. After class, Sonic came up to me and asked me if I wanted to sit with him and his friends at lunch. I said I would. I am glad I made a friend today.

Hey guys! I am so sorry for taking so long to update. I would like to dedicate this chapter to @FrenchSydneyMarie She is a great friend in and out of Wattpad. Also, as you have noticed, I have started to change the point of view (POV) to different characters. I did that because it is easier for me to tell stories that way. Some other news: someone has requested that I put my short story, The Dragons of Agorinth on here so, I will try to do that. Anyways, bye everyone!
