Hayley watched as the two walked hand in hand, the brunette looking at Adrian as if she had known him her whole life. All along she had put her effort, into cooking for his mistress. How stupid she had been. Russell had been right. Fighting the hard tears that almost cascaded down her eyes, she disappeared into the kitchen. She couldn't stand the hurt in her heart. Is this how a heartbreak felt like. Never in her life had she been heartbroken before.
There she was in love with a person who could never love her back.
"Miss Archer," She heard Adrian call.
Wiping the tears away, she answered him back, "I'm coming sir,"
They were now seated on the dining chairs still giggling.
"Yes sir,"
Giving her a glance, Adrian said "Can you please serve us the food,"
"Of course," Hayley responded reaching for the bowls.
"You know what hunny. You shouldn't have bothered with the food. We could have just gone direct to your room," The brunette said giving Adrian's hand a squeeze.
Squeezing hers back, Adrian responded, " We need the strength hunny,"
The brunette chuckled.
Bitch! Hayley thought.
" I hope you do me like last time," The brunette said.
"This time, it will be much more better," Adrian replied.
Mistakenly, Hayley poured juice on the brunette.
"What the fuck! Adrian fire this bitch!" The brunette exploded.
"Miss Archer! What is this!" Adrian snapped.
"I'm sorry madam. Let me wipe you," Hayley said wiping her with a cloth.
"You know that will not solve anything!" The brunette rolled her eyes.
"It's not much . I'll find you something to wear after dinner," Adrian said digging on his food.
"Excuse me," Hayley excused herself but Adrian stopped her.
"We might need something. Just stand here," Adrian said avoiding eye contact.
The two continued chatting as Hayley stood there watching them. If she wasn't hallucinating, Adrian had glanced at her a couple of times in between their talk.
She couldn't deny the fact that she felt jealous, envious. If she was given a chance, she would pull the brunette's hair for touching her man like that! Her man! But he didn't belong to her. She had made a very big mistake by falling for him. He was a jerk! He just toyed with people's feelings.
"Miss Archer. How many times will I call you," Adrian said.
She had zoned out.
"Yes sir,"
"Hunny. Why don't you just fire her! She's so slow!" The brunette said. "If I am to stay here for a couple of days I won't tolerate this!"
A couple of days!
"We agreed you will go to a hotel Elsie. You can not stay here. Miss Archer, Elsie wants some water. There is none on the table," Adrian said.
"But Adrian! How can I stay in a hotel when you have plenty of rooms here! I am not going to any hotel!"
"Elsie! Let us not argue on it again! You are going to a hotel and that's final!"
"Fine! But can I spend the night here. Please!"
