Adrian cups her cheeks and smiles lightly at her.

"It's okay baby, It's okay," He caresses her hair smoothly.

"It's not okay Adrian. I won't give you any children! You love kids! You want a big family! But I can't give you that," Hayley sobs on his chest.

"It doesn't matter, okay? We can always adopt! We have Nate already. He will grow up calling you mum,"

"You have been talking about our little kids everyday. How do I live with the fact that I will not full fill that wish!"

"But what do we do huh? We can't change the fact that you can't carry a baby in your womb! Stop making this hard okay! It's not the end of the world,"  He places his hand on her shoulders. "You are the love of my life. My soon to be wife. And nothing is going to tear us apart whether you give me children or not,"

"I'm so sorry baby,"

"It's not your fault. I think I have a bitch to kill!"

Adrian stands up and leaves her bedroom. Hayley calls after him but he is already gone.

The next day at work is spent with her ordering her chefs around. There is an event happening at the hotel and her moods are not the best at the moment.

"This soup is tasteless! Pour it and make another one!"

"Who is handling the desserts! They should be served by now!"

The chefs are left gawking at her as she leaves the kitchen and walks to her office.

This is not you! She scolds herself.

The results from the doctor are still taunting her. She is mad at herself. She is mad at everybody.

She picks up her phone and dials Cassie's no.

"Cassie, can we go out for some drinks tonight,"

"Sure. Is everything okay?"

"We shall talk then,"

"Okay. The same club?"

"Yeah. Can you pick me pick at the hotel?"

"Sure darling,"

Hayley hangs up the call.

Cassie kills off the engine and parks the car.

"You zoned out on me! What the hell is the matter?"

"I did? I'm sorry. Can we just go get some drinks first,"

Cassie rolls her eyes. '' Fine! Fine!"

The club is not busy since it's on a weekday. Not much going on.

"What are you going to take?"

"The drink you ordered me last time I guess. I want to forget everything!"

The waiter takes their order and returns in a couple minutes.

"So, tell me,"

"Apparently I'm the barren woman of the month," Hayley laughs off as she gulps the glass of vodka.

Cassie gasps, "Why would you say that?"

" The doctor did a scan on me and the results said that I can't carry a child in my uterus. I developed some complications,"

Cassie batters her eyelids, "That doesn't mean that you're barren,"

"Well. It's the same! I can't have children!"
