Chapter 4

Everyone had already finished eating when the two girls came in through the door holding hands.

- How's the night outside? - asked Stephanie in a funny tone.

- Actually is pretty cold, - answered Brooklyn looking at her girl so this one wouldn't worry while trying to warm herself up rubbing her own arms.

Aaliyah looked at Sage asking her if she was okay just using her eyes. Sage answered back by giving her a look plenty of good vibes. Anyway Aliyah wasn't sure enough, she wanted to know what was going on with her friend.

Suddenly the whole place was quiet and the old lady noticed it.

- Kids, you should go to sleep, tomorrow will be a busy day for all of you and it's pretty late actually. - said the old lady.

Everyone looked at that woman in confusion, no one knew what she was talking about. What did that woman know that they didn't?
They were new in the city but the feeling of this woman knowing such things about them and about what they were doing there, was creeping them out.

Stephanie stood up and went next to her grandma.

- Yes grandma you're right and you're the first who should go to rest right now. You need to sleep and take care of yourself in order to be OK. You already know that! - said Stephanie lovingly to her grandma while helping her to stand up from the chair and taking her to her room.

The old lady's room was downstairs due to her age and her blindness.

- Good night kids, you may rest properly. Don't go late to bed! - said the woman before disappearing with her granddaughter.

In that moment when they were all alone Aliyah went next to Sage.

- Are you okay? - asked Aliyah worried while holding her hand.

- Yeah yeah, don't worry. Everything's fine. - said Sage looking at Brooklyn and giving Aaliyah the clue that everything that happened was about her.

- Ok. I get it! - said Aliyah understanding everything and smiling towardsSage.

- She only has eyes for you, you know that, right? - said Aaliyah into Sage's ear making her blush.

Sage shyly smiled at Aliyah.

Suddenly Bohdi spoke.

- We're going to sleep, right? - said in a funny tone grabbing his girl by the shoulder.

Everyone started laughing.

- So are we, see you tomorrow. - said Sage holding her girl's hand and taking her upstairs.

Just before Aliyah and Bohdi walked after the couple, Stephanie showed up.

- Where are the girls? - askedStephanie with sarcasm looking at the couple.

Aliyah put herself in front of her, face to face.

- Leave them alone! Stop messing around cause if you don't you will have to face ME. Am I clear? - said Aliyah angry and threatening.

Well well well... Give them food and a roof and they think they have the right to threatened you. Who the hell do you think you are Goldilocks? - said Stephanie laughing at her while she was walking around.

- It's not a threat, it's a warning. - answered Aliyah following the girl with her eyes.

- Look, you're here because of my grandma, cause if it was for me... You wouldn't be here! I don't like you and I don't understand what's so special about you like everybody says. - she was starting to talk a lot more than she should, making pretty clear that she was jealous of them.

- Special? What the hell are you talking about? - said Bohdi suddenly.

- Sleep tight! - said Stephanie really angry while leaving them even more confused than they already were.
